Sometimes your body craves sweet things. Usually when your energy levels are low and you feel tired. When I’m busy or working out a lot, I like to have Date Energy Bites from Eat Beautiful recipes on hand as a healthy alternative when I need a quick pick me up.
Dates are in season in the fall, so they’re usually exclusive to my seasonal eating philosophy, but if you have them in your store cupboard, they’re great to have anytime. Dates are also a great natural alternative to refined sugar. My Date Energy Balls are super quick and easy to make and taste amazing. Still, it feels like a luxurious snack.
