I know most of us would like to forget 2020 (and maybe 2021 and 2022 as well); some The time I spent in quarantine was good for me. Not only did I update my reading list and FaceTime with my family more than ever before, but I also picked up (and quickly quit) some new hobbies. The beauty of DIY was one of them.
In the name of budget and a little experimentation, I tried to add some radiance to my sad, dull skin by applying too many face masks made from ingredients at the bottom of my fridge. Did it work? perhaps? But after trying the homemade mix a few times, I started feeling sick. Since then, I’ve completely left the DIY world and returned to the world of lab-tested ingredients (which I love!). This means that the only products I slather on my face are those that are in the final packaging and have an ingredient label.
One recent treatment I tried (and really enjoyed) was Aceology Here We Glow Berry Mask. While something resembling creamy yogurt may not be edible, it certainly has great antioxidant properties, just like juicy fruit.
Made with kaolin for a deep clean and five berries to fight free radical damage (wrinkles, age spots), I reach for this on days when my skin feels a little lacking in its glow.
Here’s how I use it: After cleansing your skin, gently apply a dime to nickel-sized amount from your forehead to your chin. Then sit on the couch and turn it on fierce rivalry (Yes, I’m still hooked after a few months.) And wait for my new, dewy glow to begin.
The Aceology Here We Glow Berry Mask was in my June Allure Beauty Box.
