Holiday beauty is already starting to trickle out and it seems like every year the releases come earlier and earlier! As a big fan of the Tarte Maracuja lip range, I purchased four lipsticks. Holiday Set They were released this year and all the shades I bought are new.
Also, it’s been a while since I reviewed and swatched the Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump or Lip Liners, and Tarte has added new colors to almost all of their Maracuja formulas, and since I have so many, I thought I’d swatch them here.
And much more Tart sets, bundles and variations in time for this holiday season. And it looks like each retailer’s assortment will be slightly different (Sephora and Ulta have different sets), with some offering sets that combine popular bestselling shades, while others will add new colors.
Best of Maracuja Juicy Lip Set 2024
Best of Maracuja Juicy Lip Set 2024 ($45, tart, Sephora, Ulta Beauty, Macy’s) has 4 new colors and I love it 10/10. They’re all neutral and I love all the shades. Here’s what’s in the set:
- Maracuja Juicy Lip Vinyl Spiced PinkA rich, ultra-opaque medium rose with full coverage and high shine.
- Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump Rose Quartz Shimmer Glassa high shine pink rose quartz shimmer shade
- Maracuja Juicy Plumping Lip Oil Cool MauveShiny, cool mauve
- Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump Buffed Rose Beige Roses
I really like all 4 formulas. This is my first time trying the oils and I really like the formula, although I’m not sure how long the cushioned sponge tip applicator will last. It’s by no means flimsy, but I feel like it will wear out quickly.
Maracuja Juicy Lip Icon Duo
There are three new holidays Maracuja Juicy Lip Icon Duo ($26 each, tart, Ulta Beauty, Derm Store). Each set includes a Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump Shade and a matching lip liner.
- Rosy Neutrals My favorite is the Rosy Beige shade, both are soft rose pink beige
- Neutral with a touch of spice There’s Spiced Ginger Lip Liner and Ginger Lip Plump, both of which come in tan/beige/brown variations.
- Rich Neutral The darkest options are Rich Brown Lip Liner, a dark brown, and Truffle Lip Plump, a deep mahogany brown.
Of the three sets, the Rosy Neutrals look the best, the Spiced Neutrals are pretty but too flesh-toned for me, and I’m not a huge fan of the Rich Neutrals as the liner is too dark on the lips and the Lip Plump leaves a slightly streaky finish.
Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump
I Tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump ($26 each). We love the shade, the glossy finish, the formula, and the click-up balm-style applicator. You can find this formula at almost any Tarte retailer, but… tart They have the widest range of colours and often have sales and bundles that you can mix and match to save you money. The formula is lustrous and gently plumps the skin. It tingles a little but doesn’t sting for me. It leaves a minty cooling sensation on the lips.
Below you can see swatches of almost every neutral color in the release. I haven’t tried every color, as I just received some in the mail, but my favorites are White Peach, Peach Beige, Rose Bud, Mixed Berry, and Coral Pink. I’ve also included colors from the Holiday set in the swatch lineup.
Maracuja Juicy Lip Liner
of Maracuja Juicy Lip Liner ($22, tart, Sephora, Ulta Beauty) is also a favorite. It has a twist-up style and a removable tip sharpener at the end. It comes in some pretty neutral colors, and I love that it doesn’t tug too much when you apply it and doesn’t move around once it sets. My favorites are Nude or Dusty Rose, but the new Rosy Beige from the Rosy Neutrals duo is my favorite.
That wraps up my Tarte Lips roundup! In terms of color and price, I think the Best of Maracuja Lips are the best. They are packaged separately so you can split the colors if you want to give them as gifts. I bought all of mine at Tarte (they were having some promotions going on) but you can definitely find them in your local store too. Ulta Beauty or Sephora. Quik They also have a number of limited edition value sets available, so be sure to check them out if you’re looking to buy a holiday bundle.
