Dior Beauty has been capturing my heart lately and their summer collection literally took my breath away. Most pieces seem to be limited edition, and the Daisy Compact is now sold out in many places (we recommend checking your local counter or boutique if you’re still looking).
Here are all the details I carried including hits and misses.
forever nude bronze glow

of Forever Nude Bronze Glow Bronzing Powder ($60 each, dior, sephora and selfridges) Comes in the most beautiful compact I’ve ever seen. In my opinion, these details are worth the splurge.
Both shades this season are very similar and the names (and numbers) appear to be repeating. I don’t have the previous season’s Coral Bronze, but I do have the Pink Bronze and it looks the same on my skin.

The Coral Bronze feels just a little warmer on my skin, while the Pink Bronze is more neutral. Both have bright finishes for me. There is some overspray on the surface, but the bottom is still a little shiny. I looked at them side by side with the existing ones dior forever nude bronze Hue (review) here).

I really love these and don’t regret splurging, but if you already own Dior bronzers from past seasons, I think you can skip them if you want to avoid duplication or duplication.
Forever Glow Luminizer + Glow Maximizer

This release has two highlights. of Forever Glow Luminizer Sun-Kissed is a luminescent champagne gold with a subtle glow ($60; dior and sephora). Even though the color and finish are similar to other Dior highlighters, I think it’s very beautiful.
Sun-Kissed has less sharpness of pull in frost. nude hello (Champagne) Also, Sun-Kissed is more peachy/golden, which makes my tanned skin tone softer.

of Forever Glow Maximizer in sunburst ($47, dior, Macy’s, bloomingdales) is also a stunning champagne gold. Compared to other formulas in this formula, this one is more sheer with frost/shimmer. I lined up the neutrals to make a sample. Sunburst is warmer and the clearest. There are small glitter spots on my skin, but they are subtle.

eyeshadow palette

There are two eyeshadow palettes in this collection. I picked up the neutral 670 sunset bronze ($75, dior, nordstrom, bloomingdales) and it is absolute perfection. The blue sample is: my highlights here. 670 Sunset Bronze has all the glitter in it. The finish is smooth and blendable and the color really looks like a sunset.

diorshow flash stick
The product you are most interested in is the new product. diorshow flash eyeshadow stick ($42 each, dior, nordstrom, Macy’s, bloomingdales, ulta beauty). I have mixed feelings, but first I want to say that I have very high standards for eyeshadow sticks and how they compare to Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, and especially shimmers.
For some reason, many of the cream shadows from other brands don’t show up well on my eyelids. Once blended, it almost always disappears. For my eyes, these new Dior shadow sticks are the case. It looks very beautiful in my hand, but it’s sheer to my eye. They do show up on my eyes, but once blended they don’t have the same impact.
I love the shimmery champagne (so sparkly) beige tulle. I like more impact and color. However, I think these are worth checking out. Just because it didn’t wow me doesn’t mean it’s bad. I don’t usually wear cream shadow sticks very often.

addict lip maximizer
There are 5 new items addict lip maximizer ($42 each, dior). Some shades appear to be limited edition. dior.com However, you can find some colors at other retailers as well. nordstrom and Macy’s.

I think all of them are beautiful, but I think 053 Golden Hour and 072 Cerulean pass the mark for me. Golden Hour is an incredibly frosty, unflattering pale color, and Cerulean, while fun and trendy, just doesn’t look the best on my lips.
nail polish

Finally let’s take a look at two new ones dior vernis nail color ($34 each; dior, bloomingdales, Macy’s, nordstrom) For the summer.

The sunset is a sparkling champagne gold. It has more gold in it than Champagne and suits my skin tone better. I think it’s a really nice color!
Azure is a fun pool blue and although the bottle has a bit of shimmer in it, it applies like a cream.

A beautiful collection overall. I really love that even after all these years, Dior continues to launch full season beauty collections with mini launches.
