Private fashion rental service and members club Wild West Social House is heading to the desert this weekend for its first-ever festival act dubbed “The Wild West Stables.”
The members-only fashion community is partnering with Los Angeles streetwear brand Pizza Slime for a three-day retail and social concept that will take over a private equestrian facility in Indio just a few miles from the city. coachella fairgrounds. The space will provide Wild West Social House members with a special haven and retreat from the crowds of Coachella, as well as converting a former horse stable into a pop-up trunk show where members and guests can rent or purchase specially selected clothing and accessories to match the festival or restock their closets at home.
The invite-only activation, which will run from April 10th to 13th, will also feature a full bar (sponsored by Lalo Tequila) and a gift suite for guests featuring brands such as SP5DER, New York womenswear label Danielle Guizio, and exclusive merchandise from Wild West and Pizzaslime.
Wild West Social House co-founder Max Feldman said roughly 70% of club members will be attending Coachella this year, making Desert Clubhouse “an incredible real-world test of how our members engage with mobile services and how and where we can meet them when and where they need us.”
The space mirrors Los Angeles’ Wild West flagship store, housed in a 1930s Elizabethan mansion in West Hollywood, with racks and tables for clothing, footwear, jewelry and bags. Feldman noted that members pulled more than 1,000 items from the Wild West showroom for Coachella last year, renting everything from full looks to unique items from the club’s vast inventory of designer collections spanning the past 70 years. “This year, we’re making access even easier to ensure our members have a reliable, on-site solution for last-minute needs, whether it’s a wardrobe malfunction or an outfit they don’t like,” said Feldman. Wild West Social House hosts monthly member events, but this is the club’s first remote effort, and Feldman cited the “proximity and popularity” of the desert festival. [to Los Angeles] It was a simple moment. ”
“This activation is a natural extension of our business model and the idea of a wardrobe that travels with you,” he says. “We’ve been saying to our members for a long time, ‘If this works, you’ll never have to pack your bags.’ As we worked towards this idea, we wanted our members to experience this in an event they were passionate about.”
What’s next? Feldman and co-founder Kyle Julian Skye hinted at several other big announcements coming this year, adding that Wild West was always intended to be a concept that goes beyond a single showroom space.
“We’re not just building another luxury clothing experience, we’re spreading the belief that we’ve provided the first step to redefining the way our members consume fashion,” Sky says. “Because our base is generally young, on the run, and globe-trotting with a social calendar that extends far beyond the confines of mainland Los Angeles, it’s important that we innovate on traditional enrichment methods to allow us to travel through the Wild West together.”
Access to Indio’s Wild West Stables is available to members and by invitation only. Memberships start at $299 per month and give you access to club space and up to $3000 in total clothing rentals each month. Learn more about membership online.
