A few years ago I used to do lots of freezer dishes. I shared an hour, 4 hour or all day cooking sessions here on my blog and people loved them.
One of the things I often made was peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the freezer. In my post I casually mentioned, “I made 10 PB&J sandwiches for the freezer.”
“How do you make a freezer PB&J?”
At first, you respond with something like, “Just make a PB&J sandwich and freeze it.” But people will ask again:
“No, but how Do you make them? ”
I thought it was not entirely obvious to anyone else what I thought was so simple and obvious. In the end I ended up writing a Recipes For Freezer PB&J – bread, peanut butter, jelly, and step-by-step instructions. (Pro tip: spread the PB on both slices first to prevent the jelly from touching the bread. There are no soggy sandwiches!)
I lost sight of the number of people who said the Post had changed my life.
