It’s a completely unusual experiment – being able to try out several different configurations in your living room “Take a photo of the sofa line”. It’s not typical at all, but I hope this for you too. I think that might be the future of AI (so far, AI is doing a terrible job when told to do so – no offense, future leader robots!!). Last week you saw us installing a double ‘barb’ in our living room (which I love) and on the same day we introduced this barb. sectional sofa (Thank you to my team led by Gretsch for the literal heavy lifting). It’s hard not to like it. It only works visually (but not so much functionally). Let’s prove it:
The colors are effective. The scale of the sectional sofa is amazing. And it’s very comfortable. I love this assembly style. It’s thick and low, with a bench seat you can sink into and a cushion-like backrest, making it very comfortable. It starts out as a solid 7 on the scale, but as you use it, it becomes a 5 (this is where you want it to be; you don’t want it to look sloppy and mushy).
If your TV is above the fireplace, it may make sense to configure it so that it primarily faces the fireplace and has little else to sit. However, this does not provide enough seating in this room. This room is mainly for hanging out with friends and kids without screens.
But for fun, let’s take a look at both green couch sliders first.
Now, let’s talk about two recent setups.
I love the open look and the way it fills the space, but also has enough negative space to rest my eyes. But when you have two couches where everyone can lie and talk, it’s hard to go back (and guys, this room is big enough to fit two couches, so one banquette facing the fireplace without a TV doesn’t make sense as a living room).
Again, green:
And the other two are:
But Milo’s chaise lounge is big in a good way. Total double cuddle corner. If the cream linen blend scares you (it’s a high-performance fabric and comes in a variety of yarns), know that it also comes in velvet charcoal and chocolate. I love the thick arms and the solid feel of them.
Anyone want a little more green?
And finally, the view perfectly facing the sunroom 🙂
I would also like to mention that considering the prices of furniture these days, this section is very reasonably priced at $2,999 and will be even cheaper during the Black Friday sale. I have no control over the listing price, but I’m hoping it’s at least 15% off (and Wayfair pretty much has free shipping, so I hope that’s an added incentive). It’s all made in Texas and ships quickly, so you’ll have it by Christmas (hopefully!).
So which one is your favorite?? Living here with my husband, kids, and puppy, I have a clear preference, but I can honestly say I love all three. Since you guys are distancing yourself more from it (I’m literally too close to it), I’m curious what you think. you double alice? double barb (blue and pink)? or big milo???
