Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you all got some time to spend with your family and friends and everything went 100% smoothly 🙂 I’m so grateful for that short break while keeping you updated on the best Black Friday sales (thanks Caitlin). Q4 is really no joke. But don’t worry. We haven’t really stopped working and we have a really special post in store for you tomorrow. Until then, here are this week’s links…

This week’s house tour It’s happy, modern, fresh and has lots of charming personality. It’s so fun to see the creativity in this space. Please check it out!

From Emily: I binge-watched a true crime podcast (but not too creepy). Monica Padman (of armchair expert Fame) created this wild podcast. bess diedher favorite podcasters (Andy and Elizabeth, No one is listening, right?) suddenly stopped publishing. Eight years later, she found out why. It was because of a parasocial relationship gone awry that was very upsetting. I paid to be on Patreon so I could binge-watch everything (I needed to know what happened), but there are currently five episodes available and five more available to listen to for free wherever you get your podcasts. I really liked it. There are a lot of twists and turns, and at the end, well, I don’t want to give it away, but you leave feeling a lot better than you expected. If you’re driving a car, on a plane, or need to take a long walk over the Thanksgiving holiday, binge. bess died.

From Arlyn: With the exception of a pair of Hoka running shoes that I bought a few years ago (and still use), I try not to spend more than $60 or $70 on sneakers. I see influencers sharing ridiculously cute sneakers all the time, but when I see three numbers after the dollar sign in the price, I immediately click. no. Unless I’m buying serious performance sneakers for things like running or tennis, I mostly stick to the fashion version. That’s why I was so happy when we met. This red Nike Cortez costs around $58! It’s lightweight, comfortable for hours of walking, and has garnered a lot of compliments. Needless to say, they seriously add flair to my mostly black, navy, and burgundy wardrobe.

From Jess: I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve been following the hype for the ROZ hair care range with enthusiasm. And having bleached my very grown roots a month or so ago made my hair feel like it had lost a lot of the health I had worked on over the past year. So I thought that might be a good thing. So far, I like the way my hair feels. i had pre-shower oil, shampooand conditioner. My hair is so soft and smells so good. I’m going to get them when I run out of what I already have Milk Hydrating Leave-in Conditioner Hair Serum. Their site has 2-week “try before you buy” optionOr if you want Sephora Points. they have their own line too!

From Mallory: Last weekend I stumbled upon a great sample sale and found the cutest wool pants – Em introduced me to them first. Trovata A few years ago, I always loved their work (they said it was a very small brand, with only 7 people working there in the entire company!!). The quality of their products was really impressive, so when I happened to stop by their store where they were having a big sample sale, I knew I had to pick up a few items. these amazing pants. Many of the sales are still online (if you live near Newport Beach, there’s probably a flagship store there!) so be sure to check it out! These pieces also make great gifts.

From Gretchen: I was in desperate need of a new vacuum cleaner and had been considering my options for a while. My parents were going to stay with me for the holidays, so I had to take the plunge and buy one to get rid of the dust bunny before my family gets justice. All the vacuums I’ve ever owned have been cordless, and for a variety of reasons (battery strength, suction power, constantly having to cut long hair from the roller mechanism), I’ve never been all that happy with the vacuums I’ve purchased (admittedly, they were cheap and under-researched choices). So I scoured the Internet for an easy-to-operate corded option (like the cordless vacuum cleaner I used to use), hoping it would be more reliable. And what I’ve found has been great so far! it is Shark Detect Ultralight Corded Stick Vacuum Cleaner. Unfortunately, I can’t give a review after using it for a few months, but after using it a few times, I’m already in love with it. It has the size, shape, and bagless features of previous cordless machines, but you can plug it in so you don’t have to worry about running out of battery. Plus, the cord is long enough to reach most parts of your apartment without having to replug it. The main reason I chose this is that it has an automatic hair removal feature. This is true so far. None of my long, loose hair can get caught in the rollers. I also like that it only has two simple suction modes: hardwood or carpet, and comes with a bunch of attachments. It glides on very easily, is not heavy, and can also be disassembled for handheld use with a long cane or standard push rod. The price was just right (I bought it on Amazon two weeks ago for less than $200, but unfortunately they seem to have raised the price since then, but it’s actually on sale on the Shark website for less than what I paid in the BF sale). It has a nice “dust light” so you can actually see what needs to be vacuumed up and if it’s working (and it is). I used to have to literally get on all fours to vacuum using a store vacuum, so this is a huge improvement. I’m so happy to be able to cross “high quality, easy, cheap vacuum cleaner” off my list.

From Marley: I love low-profile shoes. I have a pair of recycled vintage Onitsuka Tigers from high school that I wear on the ground. The sole of the shoe is completely peeling off, even though I have glued it down many times. I like it so much that I would like to wear it forever if possible. I definitely want to get another pair of shoes someday and I found this a pair of adidas at nordstromthe atmosphere and silhouette are similar. I like that it’s not an actual walking/running shoe and gives it a sporty look but is still very comfortable. I bought the yellow one because it was on sale, and I liked it too. brown, silverand this sorrel It’s also a lot of fun. Adidas definitely runs large. I’m usually between a 9 and 9.5, but an 8.5 fits comfortably in this shoe.

From Caitlin: If you’re a long-time reader, what I say here probably sounds like a broken record…but here’s my all-time favorite LL bean slippers It’s finally on sale! My mom gets me a pair of shoes every Christmas, and sinking my cold little toes into the plush shearlings is my favorite part of the holiday season. It keeps you warm without making you sweat, and over time it perfectly adapts to your feet. I think they are the perfect gift for someone who is hard to shop for (my boyfriend also bought a pair from Brenda last year and he loves them as much as I do!). This is my favorite holiday tradition. Is anyone else participating? 🙂

Thank you for taking some time today. See you here tomorrow. xx
