Happy Sunday everyone! Have you seen us making another Velux Bright Days Makeover gift? Is it one of our favorite kinds of makeovers, as no one loves amazing skylight? So, go to that post and see if you qualify before applying! Separately, the EHD team is preparing for a “birthday retreat” (all birthdays are in September or October). We’re pretty excited. Don’t worry, we are very productive 🙂 OK, link??
This week’s house tour Place your chin on the floor. Nicola Harding We designed the most unrealistic new build English chalet in colour and texture, but in a way that feels like a magical embrace. You have to see it for yourself.
From Emily: Hey Portlander People, the first annual Nestfest will take place in Theo Portland on September 20th and be held by Willamette Weekly. They have many design activities in all of our favorite stores (goat blocks). Tons of my favourite shops are involved and I really, really want to make it. If you’re in Portland and that weekend, support your local design. All information is here.
From Caitlyn: It finally happened: I was fooled. I was fooled. Even a bamboo shoot. The perpetrator? this Marble catchall It can be seen method With the older method It’s more expensive than the $22 price tag. I found it on a coffee table at a friend’s house and asked about a flea market or antique store she sourced it (like an absolute dope) and was left uneasy to know it was actually brand new. My ego was hurt – I will never hear the end of it! -But I live to fight another day. (And because it’s worth it, I would have paid up to $40 at the flea market. A cool stone is a cool stone!)
Also from Caitlin: I’m glad to report it. paper – Spin-off of Office – It’s actually great! I went through the first five episodes. It’s funny with laughter (try to touch Don Hall Gleeson’s American accent once. He’s just typically British! He shouldn’t sound like that!) I think it’s going to feel more Abbott Elementary School Or a Tone’s parks and recreation (a little lighter, more playful, sometimes stupid), But I really think there’s a shot in it being a classic American sitcom. Maybe it will replicate the market for local papers! In any case, I praise the team for pulling off this highly anticipated reimagining. (I’m so glad it’s actually good!!!!!)
From Jess: I’m preparing for the Moto Shoot (more than a week!!) so I needed a Shop Vac. Yes, my sweet little balcony was desperately needed to clean. There were many debris in the cracks and cracks in the tile. Basically, I don’t do my normal vacuum. So now I’m a proud owner This guy! I love it. However, for reference, horsepower is important. I first got one of four gallons, 3.5 horsepower. Confused, I called my dad. It’s cool, cool, cool. It’s great to know that information after you’ve purchased something so powerful.
Also from Jess: I’ve obviously gotten in my skot era and recently This light blue satin/lace thing (Size as size) This faux leather item (at Chocolatier Brown) I wore it very appropriately to the Goo Goo Dolls and Dashboard Confessional Concert last weekend. I’ll tell yousome of my favorite new works;)

Sarah Sherman Samuel, Lulu and Georgia did it again, but it would be even better! This new collection, Rayleighincredible! We really want all the pieces. The way this collection plays in shape and scale is bold and chic, yet we think it’s versatile. Don’t miss this place. Congratulations to these amazing teams!
From Mallory: I used These sweater bins They were a game changer when they did the $150 EHD Closet Makeover Challenge. It is the perfect solution for storing sweaters, foldable shirts, pants, etc. Because you can grab the item from the front of the bin and it is transparent, so the inside is visible. I’m a huge fan – they’ve made my life so easy and they’re selling 40% off now!!
From Arlyn: When I was a kid, I shoveled chocolate teddy graham in my mouth. I loved them so much. Now, as an adult, me, um, don’t do that anymore. But I found the next best with the added benefits of fiber and some protein! Simple Mills is one of my go-to cracker brands at home, Chocolate Brownie Cookies Remembering the Teddy Grahams tasting tastes really tastes. It is made from chocolate-like sweet but sweet, watermelon and sunflower seeds flour and flax. My kids and I love them and I don’t feel any way about poping some into her lunchbox. I linked Their website It’s where you can find the store they are for sale, but you can also Grab them on Amazon If you shop there.
From Marley: My Hair Holy Grail at this time of year is Amica. The general practice I live in is as follows: The colder and wetier you get outside, the less you wash your hair. When it rains in Portland, there is no more sensory nightmare than getting into the rain or cold with already wet hair (it’s strictly dry in the summer). It feels strange, it never dries out, and when it does it is insanely flat on the top and frizzy around. The turn of autumn marks the period of my curling iron, blow dryer, dry shampoo and texture spray, living at the seasonal bathroom counter. Amica products don’t just smell amazing (people always praise my “perfume”), Dry shampoo I don’t feel like I’m left with an extreme build-up like other people, and I feel like there’s a little bit of a long way to go. Texture Spray It’s the biggest thing to bring volume back into my hair as it starts to flatten and become greasy, and the hack I’ve learned is that this works very well in balancing my cowlic on my side. My hair gets very brittle in the winter and I also loveoove Their hair mask -It really makes my hair feel so soft, very healthy and shiny. Their branding is super cute, but it looks a bit trendy, so if you’ve overlooked it, I’m here to tell you it isn’t! Also, almost every hairstylist I’ve been doing in the last few years has used it!
From Gretchen: Is it the end of summer? of course. However, I realized I would buy statement sunglasses on Boat Road. I was shopping in the store with free people a few weeks ago. I found some perfect jeans (which unfortunately were on a large scale so it’s no longer available) and two pairs of Sunny. This pair It felt like a wonderful shape on my face. It is a classic black round lens with a slightly hexagonal feel. Easy, cute, practical, $25. Score! but This pair My attempt to straighten out for fun and fashion reasons… looking like a “cool girl.” Blue lenses, modern, thick aviator shape, warm brown frame, $30. Double score!
Thank you for spending time with us today and prepare for a very cool public tomorrow 🙂
