Happy Sunday everyone. If you take a break from Friday, we hope that it is the good thing you have got to spend time with your loved ones. This week there will be another YouTube video about the garage process. PDX gal is really knocking it out of the park. Apart from that, there are some posts that were expected tomorrow, so please prepare your tea. OK, on the link.
This week’s house tour He is a design director at Domino, Brit Ashcraft And her husband. It was a Victorian home in 1887, and was supposed to be a villa that transformed into a full-time residence. It’s a very special and thoughtfully designed space. Please check!
From Emily: Two Portland Design Favorites We collaboratedand we are all excited. Nik Nik Studio An artist and ceramicist (and the stylist I’ve worked with – she’s very ladd) and she works with Annie Wilmaquite famous in town with her incredible eyes, both vintage and truly interesting local and small makers. I don’t know what I’m trying to get, but I just want to raise awareness of the two local creatives who are working so hard and hard to make the world of home and design better and more interesting.
Also from Emily: I recently consumed a rather convincing media that I haven’t stopped talking to my friends – 1. Justin Wilman Magic Show (Magical Lover) It’s on Netflix and is so fun and great with the kids. We went to a live show and loved every second (funny, sincerely, amazing wonder), and the special is its abbreviated version. A literally wonderful Sunday night with anyone. 2. I also heard CEO Podcast Diary With three different feminists debating whether sexual revolution is great for feminism and women as a whole. Attractive. I couldn’t stop talking to Brian or the women of my life, literally. They disagree, but they all consider themselves a feminist, but only whether certain things (like households, capitalism, daycare, our political system (including liberalism), patriarchy, and yes, casual sex ideas) have really benefited women, or perhaps even benefited men and capitalism. If you like passionately educated discussions by experts in the field, listen to this (you’ll find yourself shaking your head while walking your dog, preparing to not agree with one or more of them, but I think these types of discussions are the only way to make real progress). I heard it on Spotify here it is YouTube.
From Caitlyn: Gals, you wouldn’t believe it: This week my 38-year-old boyfriend asked me if I wanted to see something new Sarah Jessica paRKER Interview With him. I couldn’t sprint to the couch fast enough!!! She was interviewed by Adam Friedland, one of his favourite podcaster-turned-Youtube personalities. You can skip the first few minutes (TLDR: Appeared on the nose during an interview. Interview with SJP It’s very good! She’s very charming, they have great chemistry (we learn she’s an Adam fan!), and we laughed loudly many times. If you’re looking for a fun watch that both you and your partner may enjoy, This interview Tickets! This holiday weekend will make for a great Light Watch Post Beach or BBQ. (PS. It was filmed on the day the new Pope was announced, so there’s a chaotic, enthusiastic and fun energy when receiving real-time updates. It’s really fun!)
If you’re looking to go on sale shopping, this is the sale post from July 4th, where Caitlyn has been making tireless updates over the course of a week.
From Jess: Here are my two skincare moisturizer refills! This week, I was of course exhausted like 5 different products. For a couple, I wanted to try something new (mostly for fun, not because I didn’t like them), but I had to sort the two products – Dieux’s Air Angel Collagen & Peptide Hydrating Gel Cream and Peter TomaS Roth’s Peptide Skinjection Fill + Inder Eye Cream. The heat is here so you don’t want heavy face cream, but your girl Jess still needs moisture on dry skin. Dieux is my answer. It’s light, not compared, and it feels very pleasant. That’s my second reorder. Then, for under my eyes, I really loved one of this Peter Thomas Ross. That’s also not what I’m looking for, given how much Milia is. Also, as a lifelong member of Genetic Dark Circle Club, I really feel that this cream has brightened them up. I think this will be sorted many times in the future 🙂
From Mallory: I never bought expensive sunglasses, but I finally got it so I feel like I’ve become a real adult woman My first really nice pair. The brand was called APC and my boyfriend turned me towards it (their store is great). Super high quality And unique. They’re really doing “simple but cool” things really well (and now they have big summer sales so the bonus points are you!) Check if you need unique, high quality items
From Alryn: What a massive breasted person never listens to what they say. I found a new wireless bra that I love. When you are in E, F, and G+ territory, especially after giving your baby your body, support is most important as gravity is not on your side. I used to be simply an underwire girl for this reason, but I simply can’t stand the feeling of a wired bra. Unless I’m wearing a wireless bra and I found a new favorite bra. In fact, I bought two and within a week of receiving them I bought two more. This Somabra It’s very comfortable, supportive and quite affordable. Yes, I wrote a post about a large chest wireless bra a while ago. This was in the middle of the road for me, but since then my breast size has decreased, my shape has changed and it’s great now. The silhouette is a pointy touch, but I don’t mind it. Plus, there are side support panels that do a good job. It looks great under the t-shirt, feels very comfortable and has a lift. What else do you want? ! ?
From Gretsch: A few months ago I was hooked on the super budget-friendly home makeover I saw in Tiktok. It was hard to share her page at the time, but sadly I couldn’t track the creator. That is, until she (thank you) came across your page the other day. Another great budget transformation. Her name is Kiki Tolles (or @roomsbykiki on Tiktok and Instagram) And she is amazing. She’s a small creator and I think she deserves a bigger follow! Her work reminds me of many of the types of projects I worked on before I started with EHD. Help people design/style their homes on an extreme budget, scrutinize the Facebook market for eclectic merchandise, and slowly build rooms with only the most perfect pieces for that person. But not words, she’s doing it better than I ever did. Her content is very legitimately interesting and her designs are very thoughtful. I’ve noticed that I’m watching her content like a really good movie. The effort she puts into all her budgeting spreadsheets is a clear and easy way to document her process and tell the whole story. It deserves recognition! She prioritizes designs with second hand items, which I love, and what she is clear is truly amazing (especially due to the price). Check out her other projects and follow her. I feel she should see!
Also from Gretsch: I had to return some things to Nordstrom the other day and had no choice but to pass the shoe section on my way out. When I did these Cute new Birkenstock I couldn’t say no because it caught my eye right away. Oops! They are Similar to Pair Em Lovebut with a lighter tan and a lot more similar My favourite pair of barks. I absolutely live in Boston (please ask anyone who knows me – they are on my feet every time. I’m single. Day. I’ve had many great sandal barks over the years, but since last summer I’ve been on the market for new sets. The straps somehow stayed intact and saved me from losing my toes, but the leather couldn’t recover from blood staining. I thought it was fresh pair time. So I picked them up in the sandcastle, mainly because it’s a colour similar to my clogs. So I wear them until I die, but also because I like the slightly matte gold buckle. It’s actually cute, obviously crazy comfortable, perfect for hot weather!
From Marley: I wasn’t a body oil guy because I think they’re always greasy, but I tried this Oil from Saltairand I’m definitely going to wear it all the way through the summer. It gets a little thicker at first, but is absorbed very nicely (especially when the skin is wet) and leaves no greasy feeling – it moisturizes very much after a day in the sun and leaves a little glow 🙂 I got the salted vanilla scent. There are several other scents too. I was quite impressed with the Saltair products I tried!
As always, thank you for stopping by and strolling around with us. See Y’all tomorrow. xx
