Southwest customers will allocate seats in 2026.
Southwest has announced plans to eliminate open seats and offer allocated seats to enhance the customer experience. The company also offers premium seat options. Allocated seats will be available for purchase for travel from January 27th, 2026.
Additional updates are also being made, including faster WiFi, new seat power, larger overhead bins and more comfortable seats.
