You’ll love these s’mores dessert bars!
We like this recipe more than preferring traditional s’mores. Plus, it’s much less messy (and no need for a hot bonfire!). You’re not a fan of nuts (or just wanting to make these a little more frugal), they still taste great without them.
This is the perfect dessert recipe for summer barbecues and family gatherings! Every time I take these bars somewhere, I always bring home an empty plate. Butter Graham Cracker Crust is a great base for toasted marshmallows, rich chocolate chips and crispy nuts.
When you are planning to serve them (or even better, the day before) it is best to make these a few hours in advance.

Ingredients for S’mores Bars Recipe
- 3/4 cup soft butter
- 3/4 C Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs (I do this with a Ziploc bag and a rolling pin – see photo)
- 3 cups mini marshmallow
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans(or other nuts, options)

How to make a s’mores bar
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and grease a 9×13 pot.
2. Place the graham crackers in a plastic freezer bag and grind them with a rolling pin to make the graham crackers.

3. Use a hand mixer to beat the soft butter and brown sugar.

4. Mix the flour and graham cracker crumbs until combined.

5. Push the crust mixture firmly into a greased 9×13 pan.

6. Sprinkle evenly with marshmallows, chocolate chips and nuts.

7. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

8. Cool thoroughly before cutting into 20-24 bars. (I stick the chilled bars into the fridge for 30-60 minutes, then I always cut them with a plastic knife before cutting them.
