When nostalgia for all things 2016 reached a fever pitch earlier this year, we couldn’t help but think back to Taylor Swift’s iconic, star-studded Fourth of July pool party from that era. It took place at Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island mansion and was recorded through the lens of the most popular Instagram filter of the time. The musician was expected to invite friends to the annual red, white and blue celebration. It featured classic symbols of the American holiday, including white wicker chairs, fireworks, matching American flag pajamas, and, of course, those coveted pool floats, often shaped like pegasi, swans, and flamingos.
Dubbed “Swift’s favorite float company,” Fanboy quickly became the backdrop for Hollywood’s summer fun, appearing in perfectly styled shots of everyone from Katy Perry and Shay Mitchell to Kylie Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski. Just as Swift’s July Bash has been put on hiatus until its return in 2023, the luxury pool accessories company is also reliving its glory days with an all-new and exciting chapter 10 years later. They’ve teamed up with Kim Kardashian’s shapewear empire Skims to release a 14-piece float collection for next season.
Summer’s sexiest combo is here. Skims x Fanboy Sienna Clear Tube Float and Almond Bandana Skims Signature Swim Scoop Neck Dress, both new in stock this month.

What about the lottery? The majority of the pieces are based on the Skims tonal color palette (you’ll immediately notice the same cocoa, sienna, and cherry blossom hues already featured on classic bodysuits and fold-over pants). Celebrating Skims swimwear as part of the Roberto Cavalli capsule last year, and a fan of More Is More’s animal print, known for showing its face on the best-selling Skims push-up bras, thongs and lounging shorts, the multi-billion dollar label is bringing its glamorous cheetahs to the Fanboy drops as well, contrasting just as wonderfully with pool glitter and the sassiest of bikinis.
Personal favorites from the highly anticipated Skims x Funboy release include the Cherry Blossom Clear Swan Pool Float (a sleek, translucent pink that inflates in less than 3 minutes); The Cocoa Silhouette Clear Lounger is equipped with cup holders and reflects how your silhouette will look when you wear the Skims Soft Lounge Long Slip Dress (it’s nothing but curves on curves). At 7.5 feet in diameter, the Sienna Striped Leisure Island is the bulkiest in the collection and is perfect for lakes and oceans. There’s also an oversized cheetah tanning pool. In addition to the luxurious design, there is a bikini engraving that shows you exactly where to lie for the best shine. Benefits of purchasing a tanning pool also include a special slot for your phone, a half-moon pillow for maximum comfort, and the ability to enjoy an elevated mattress on land or at sea.

Besides being too hot to handle, this partnership is a natural fit considering that nearly every member of the Kardashian family has at one time or another flaunted their fanboy pool floats on social media, whether it’s a glittery unicorn, a fake jet ski, or a not-so-massive cherry.
So come join in the fun. Take the plunge and shop Skims x Funboy to stock up for the official start of summer on May 25th. Worried it’ll be a pain to set up and maintain? Two It Girl-approved brands have made sure to stay ahead of the curve, packing their warm-weather essentials with added features like durable materials that “stand up to almost everything, including dogs.” Portability perfect for traveling to sunny environments. Also, for some pieces, such as the swans, you have the option of blowing them out using only a hair dryer.

Another element to look forward to here is co-branded touches that simultaneously hint at your good taste and awareness of trends.
