The Ritz Carlton I know Its closeness to its customers is evident not only in its personalized, state-of-the-art hospitality at its more than 100 luxury hotels and resorts around the world, but also in the fact that it understands its guests’ desire to take home a little magic with each stay. That’s now possible thanks to The Ritz-Carlton’s latest collaboration with Parisian accessory maker Kilometers.
Similar to the hotel brand’s two-part partnership with Late Checkout, a Madrid menswear brand that debuted in 2024, this partnership is a natural fit, as neither The Ritz-Carlton nor former fashion editor Alexandra Senes’ Kilometer is particular about details. The latter is known for its hand-embroidered tote bags (dubbed “undercover baskets”) named after popular vacation spots, from Positano and Bora Bora to Saint-Tropez and Hong Kong. Today, Kilometers pays homage to The Ritz-Carlton’s most beloved sun-soaked coastal resorts – Laguna Niguel, Santa Barbara, Amelia Island and Key Biscayne, of course – and contrasts them with date palm fronds, wool and timeless Moroccan weaving techniques (the circa 2015 label has deep ties to the country’s artisans) to capture the unique spirit of each.

Shoppers are treated to a line of brightly colored carriers that can take them from the beach to the tiki bar and back again. Or you can enjoy some sports in your own cold city to remind yourself of the unforgettable memories made during PTO. The Ritz-Carlton x Kilometer Undercover Basket, on the other hand, is all about parrots, flamingos, sunsets and cocktail motifs. The color is refreshing but never cheap. Intricate texture – measures 45 cm x 34 cm and comes in two handle lengths. The Le Tube Basket available for purchase is slimmer and perfectly matches the proportions of a rolled towel. Both are good choices to brighten up your everyday ensemble and let passersby know about your propensity to travel the world.
“The most meaningful travel experiences at The Ritz-Carlton are those that connect guests more deeply with place, culture and community,” Jamie Hoffman, director of global marketing and partnerships for The Ritz-Carlton, said in a press release. “Our collaboration with Kilometer is an opportunity to tell that story through design, translating the resort’s spirit, colors and character into pieces shaped by craftsmanship and a sense of place. The collection captures the memory of a journey, allowing the experience to stay with guests long after their departure.”
But here, the story behind the resort’s California-Florida coordination isn’t just told through handmade bags. These unique products are also complemented by a variety of hand-spun bandanas. It’s constructed from Kilo’s favorite khadi cotton fabric (sustainable, breathable, and gets softer and softer with each wash). “This is not your grandmother’s floral print,” the French fashion house says of its usual range of bandanas. That sentiment rings even truer in the context of the collaboration’s off-the-wall embroidery layered over traditional paisley patterns, alluding to the world of The Ritz-Carlton (see majestic lions, sailing ships, treasure map-like dashes, and other symbols of adventure). The best part? Bandanas can be worn as scarves, headbands, or tops, depending on the setting and occasion.

These fashions, unlike their carryall counterparts, don’t directly reference the four resorts in question, but you can definitely feel a deep coastal je ne sais quoi every time you layer a bandana on your head (or torso).
Imagine zipping down Highway 101 in a convertible on your way to lunch at Maricela at the Ritz-Carlton Baccarat, Santa Barbara’s on-site restaurant on the Pacific Ocean. The wind whips in your face, the scent of the ocean is almost palpable, and you’re enveloped in the refreshing embrace of The Ritz-Carlton x Kilometers’ latest creation. If Audrey Hepburn loved to travel, she would look like Audrey Hepburn everywhere. this This is the sensation the two brands want to convey with their highly anticipated project, which aims to accompany you every step and mile of your journey.
