Reviewing Beloved Trendy Jeans…With My Honest Thoughts

We made the call for your favorite trendy jeans, and many of you suggested the same pair over and over again – it was very convincing and my team was fine. So while I was out of town they ordered them in my size (don’t worry – we returned what I didn’t hold). As we know, loose and buggy are still the best, skinny jeans are an indicator of immediate negative style (controversial, I know, and a real shame), and as a still apple-shaped woman, this is very challenging for me. Buggy jeans look best on smaller, more equipped tops (preferably trimmed or bodysuits), playing with proportions is my stupid non-expert opinion, but that’s not what I feel like best (not in the way I feel like I’m the best). For me, I don’t have my own moments as I don’t wear a big boxy blurry top over a baggy jean like a big boxy box, and it’s fine (I literally don’t take something like this seriously, it’s just fun!

Quince – Vera Stretch

I was skeptical of Manz. I’m very curious how dosing other brands (which are likely to be dusing OG designers/manufacturers) disrupt the market, but the prices are off and the quality seems to be very high. Verdict: I really loved the softness these There was a perfect amount of stretch, but not very elastic. And for $50, I wait, what? $50? They felt very high quality to me for that price.

I tried both 26 and 27 and kept a 26 (lower sizes, usually between 27-28 depending on the week). The blue wash is really great and the fit is mid-layer. I only kept three pairs of jeans, and this is one of them (sounds like three sounds, but it does show up).

Pistra – Lennon High Rising Crops

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 27) | shoes

Pistra has become my favorite brand and I loved it These jeans Because I felt good among them. They are slim cuts, but not “skinny” (I don’t think so?). They are very comfortable, easy to wear and fit my lifestyle (which is very casual).

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 27) | shoes

They are higher rises and I’m shorter so I probably wouldn’t have pushed my shirt this far, but I’m tarso, but in this price range (a little over $100), I felt they were a solid investment.

Mother – Hustler

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 27) | shoes

Many of you have said this is your favorite (and certainly looks very good on those shoes). these It has a great fit with a signature mother stretch and the dark wash is certainly flattering.

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 27) | shoes

With my mother, I always wore them postnatal because they were so flattering and stretchy on my waist. “A little stretch, excellent quality, regular size pockets.” I really liked these and felt better within them (but didn’t you know they were “skinned”?).

La Ligne – Marilyn Mid Rice Barrel

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 26) | shoes

surely, these So cool – many of you sent this record to me and I didn’t hear about them. They are dual tone, with lighter front than the back, with cool side seams and excellent tailoring. If I was working in a big city and I had to go to the office and look cool, I would have kept these 100%, but at this price range I didn’t think I would wear enough to justify the cost.

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 26) | shoes

Verdict: These are rads, but too much investment in my lifestyle! I didn’t keep them, but if you’re looking for investments and want something really cool (which still looks polished), we all agreed that these are rads.

Agorde – Fran Law is on

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 27) | shoes

Yes, I liked it these…The colour is perfect, the washing is perfect, the straight legs are still flattering. They are another pair that so many people have sworn, but they are $$$. I didn’t keep them (they weren’t “hell yes” back then), but now I’m staring at the pictures so I’m really into them!

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 27) | shoes

Most people told me to size down and wear a high waist – I wear my regular size and if I had kept it would have swapped it for a smaller size. They are rad, but I don’t love this baggy of pants to me. If it’s not “yes”, it’s “no”. My young team loved these places 🙂

Agorde – 90’s Straight

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 27) | shoes

I loved washing these (Medium with some dark areas) didn’t know how to style the hem that was really fast at the end (so you think you’re just supposed to make it nasty and baggy at the bottom?).

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 27) | shoes

I love Agorde. I’m a clear favorite denim brand when I want to splurge (and I love the tons of their shorts). This is just a style preference and I don’t think I love this 🙂 I want to say that fashion is very confused right now. And even when we went to New York, when they seemed to have a clear personal style, I don’t see many people. Many people are “clothed”, mostly athletes (wherever), or tank tops (and socks) with jagged jeans and square necks. Brian and I talked about it while we were there. I actually felt stupid wearing a “costume.” It appears that tourists were dressed, and locals appear to be dressed. We didn’t expect to see Carrie Bradshaw everywhere, but we were very uninspired. So I think young fashion is still moving away from trying to look better.

J. Cru Factory – Wide Leg Crops

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 27) | shoes

these It’s very cute for those who love wide legs, and the length is completely trimmed. They are well tailored (and looked super cute in those shoes). Great light denim with the right amount of stretch and excellent price range.

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 27) | shoes

I think these could be completely office jeans. It has a raw hem, but otherwise it’s pretty and the tailoring is fantastic.

Old Navy – Barrel

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 4) | shoes

For $30, I was very impressed these. I think we’re spending another year in barrel jeans (good ones, perhaps longer). This price range is solid and I feel that these are truly high quality.

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 4) | shoes

If you don’t want to invest too much in this trend, these (or the Madewell ones below) are great ways to do it. You can’t beat the price.

Madewell – Balloon Jeans

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 26) | shoes

Ok, no one recommended it thesebut I was in Madewell recently and they said these were flying off the shelf – their new “balloon” pants. They feel more “barrel light”, but with its rounded shape and slight taperness, not much exaggeration.

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 26) | shoes

They’re too expensive for me (and they’re equipped on the waist, FYI), but are you curious to see what you guys think? Sorry, we didn’t steam them 🙂

Madewell – Low

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 25) | shoes

I really wanted to keep it these – They are pretty cute! But they are very long so I need to wear them in high heels and I know that I don’t really need enough to spend my money as I don’t wear jeans/high heels (I’m once again, I’m working at home, so I’m only the only time I splurge on new clothes that are non-working from home clothes).

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 25) | shoes

Definitely lower these sizes and wear heels or a Gumbie look. You can also try out the petite version as the waist, slight drops, colour, wash and hem are all great.

Madewell – Dart Barrel

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 26) | shoes

I’ve shown you these for months, but these are still My favorite barrel jeans I think it’s flattering to our people who don’t love the huge bottom. I have them in this laundry (size 26).

blouse | necklace | jeans (Size 26) | shoes

These are 10/10 for me – comfortable, trendy, still flattering, and very easy to wear without a crazy high price.

So I had a pussy, a pistra and an old navy. All of this felt like I was wearing a lot of them for my lifestyle and not too scattered. But I’m now paying attention to those low baggy flanges… fashion is difficult!!! I found myself so packed with a comfortable rut. Most of the time, I’m fine until I have the opportunity or filming that I want to show that I have a perspective. I think leaving New York and LA (and living in the suburbs… in a mini farm…) drained my daily desire to wear something comfortable and not casual 🙂 or maybe it’s just getting old. In a few weeks, people are 46 years old…xx
