Before he found fame playing JFK Jr. on the hit FX series love storyPaul Anthony Kelly was a working model who had successful campaigns for everyone from Brooks Brothers to Bonobo. But Kelly also posed in a series of e-commerce photos for department store Kohl’s and its in-house brand, Sonoma Goods for Life.
Eagle-eyed shoppers spotted Kelly’s photo, which is still posted on the Kohl’s website. Now a TV star, Kelly models the fast fashion line’s polo shirts, dress shirts and T-shirts. Kohl’s is also showing off Kelly’s newfound fame, with the store’s Instagram account reposting photos from his Sonoma Goods for Life shoot (a play on the TV show, of course) with the caption, “We have a feeling these styles are going to get all the love.” Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette display title).
Commenters were quick to agree, with one person writing, “It’s Cole’s fault.” [is] “I’m getting a return on investment with my photos,” one wrote, while another wrote, “This is flex. Give your social team a raise.”
It’s not clear when Kelly first modeled for Kohl’s, but many of the items he’s seen wearing online are still available. Affordable, stylish, and contemporary with menswear staples all priced under $30. You don’t have to go to the Hamptons or Hyannis Port in the summer to wear these pieces. These are everyday basics that are perfect for the office, dinner, date night, and more.

Sonoma Goods for Life Short Sleeve Nautical Striped Sweater Polo
This knit polo shirt looks much more expensive than its $30 price tag and gives off an Italian country vibe or an Upper East Side dinner vibe. We love the classic navy and white nautical-inspired stripes and the ribbed hem for a luxurious feel. Kohl’s offers sizes from Small to XXL.

Sonoma Goods for Life Chip Sweater Polo
You can also choose this tipped sweater polo shirt, which is made from a blend of cotton and rayon and features a trim fit that’s not too tight. This ‘Gray Ivory’ colorway is a step up from the basic white and looks more sophisticated.

Sonoma Goods for Life Knit Short Sleeve Button Down Shirt
Kelly is also seen modeling this short sleeve button-down shirt made from a knitted cotton blend that is super soft and smooth to the touch. Button-downs offer a close-fitting fit, but aren’t as stiff as an oxford shirt, making them very versatile both in the office and outdoors. Our suggestion: Pair this with khakis on Cape Cod, or with jeans, sneakers, and some great JFK Jr.-inspired sunglasses for lunch.

Sonoma Goods for Life Knit Short Sleeve Button Down Shirt
You can also opt for a button-down in this light green colorway for a preppy Martha’s Vineyard vibe or a Savannah Southern gentleman. Kohl’s offers this shirt in over 12 total prints and colors and in sizes from Small to XXL.

Sonoma Goods for Life Outdoor Long Sleeve Shirt UPF-40
This rugged button-up is designed for outdoor adventures and is made with water-resistant nylon material that wicks moisture away from your skin. A touch of spandex allows you to move easily within the shirt, while a special UPF coating protects you from the sun. Kohl’s currently has this shirt on sale for 65% off.

Sonoma Goods For Life Essential Short Sleeve Striped Henley T-Shirt
Kelly looks right at home in this short-sleeved henley, which features a delicate striped pattern that elevates her everyday essentials. The beige T-shirt is selling fast online, with Kohl’s reporting that more than 2,000 shoppers have purchased it in the past few weeks alone.

Sonoma Goods for Life Short Sleeve Sweater Polo
This sustainable pick is made from cotton and recycled polyester with a lightweight, breezy knit construction. Kelly is wearing the “Tan Space Dye” colorway, but Kohl’s also carries the Sonoma Goods Polo in blue and “Coral.”
Of course, Kelly has been up to a lot since posing for Cole’s photo. The actor recently sat front row at Dior’s Paris Fashion Week show and was also spotted at Giorgio Armani’s pre-Oscar party on Rodeo Drive.
