Launched between 1989 and 1993 by legendary tableware and collectibles brand Lenox, the original Spice Village came with 24 labeled porcelain spice containers that looked like mini dollhouses, which is very much in keeping with today’s cottagecore aesthetic.
August 2Lennox revealed on its Instagram page that Spice Village would be available to buy again after more than 30 years, and on September 13, the brand announced that Spice Village is now available for pre-order.
Lennox Spice Village 2nd Edition
The second edition of Spice Village contains a total of 24 canisters. Each canister looks like a cute little house, just like in the original Village. The color palette feels fresh and fun without straying too far from the original design. The houses come in a variety of shades, including pink, purple, blue, red, and yellow. You can purchase the entire Village, choose a set of six, or purchase the spice homes individually.
The spice jar contains no spices, but the 24 spices label lists rosemary, oregano, basil, allspice, cinnamon, nutmeg, garlic, saffron, bay leaf, tarragon, ginger, thyme, parsley, marjoram, mustard, cloves, coriander, sage, paprika, onion, chives, pepper, celery and dill.
