This is the contract. There’s never a bad time to buy home decor and furniture. When you’re ready and able to invest, you should. Because the sooner you can go home, the better. With this in mind, most people want to avoid creating a living room that looks like it belongs to everyone. We also need interesting, well-crafted work that looks at least a little unexpected. That’s what I’m going to talk about today. Here are five unusual living room design mood boards that we’ve created to serve as exciting starting points. It was designed to be a sofa that is comfortable and suitable for everyday life, but with the design of more expensive sofas. These babies are meant to attract attention and impress friends and family who come over. Let’s start with the first combo.
The first mood board I will explain is a traditional style that is more organic and modern. I took a note from Emily’s brother’s River House family room. Because it’s so beautiful and comfortable?!
Well, I chose a brown velvet-like fabric. Before looking at the renderings, I wanted to show you a better photo. Honestly, it’s one of my favorites in the collection. You can also order samples so you can see the actual product before purchasing! I decided to edit the whole design to make it better, which is why this looks different 🙂

Do you understand what I mean? The lines of the pieces are all clean and modern, but the shapes are lamp, chairand pattern rug Traditional. Greens, browns, and a variety of woods give it an organic feel, and there’s something about it all that doesn’t match. There are also different tones of green! I would also like to point out that it is important to choose a style that combines works with many visually subordinate elements and works with few visually superior elements. Cross section and coffee table (and in a way the lamp too) is flat to the ground, with most of the visual weight at the bottom. And an accent chair media console There’s space for the legs and underneath, and the visual weight is at the top. It creates a beautiful balance in the space. If you like what you see, add a few heirlooms, some more decorations (Wayfair has tons of them), and you’re good to go.

It’s the same color as last time, but the atmosphere is quite different! you may recognize This elegant (and comfortable) sofa From the opening photo, two of them are currently living in Emily’s own living room. For this design, we went for something a little more sophisticated, traditional, yet cozy. To offset the visible weight and contrast with the sofa’s style, I chose: These two coffee tables. We then chose that beautiful cabinet, taking into consideration the shape of the sofa and the curve of the swivel chair. The two-tone color is really beautiful. I love that it has both an open and a closed pattern to store all the things I pick up while traveling ??Just saying 🙂 rug It echoes the rows of coffee tables. Finally, to recreate the traditional style, I chose a swivel wingback chair that looks super comfortable (you can also go to the sofa to face the TV if applicable :)) and a stunning gold lamp.

OK, we’re done with greens and neutrals, and now we’re going to add blues and warmer woods. that section (Milo) is amazing. The perfectly thick legs not only give you more space underneath, but they also look great on your feet. thick coffee tableaccent chairs, and media consoles. However, just to make sure there’s something a little more lightweight: that lamp It’s very beautiful and rug There’s so much movement and color. you’ve probably heard me speak that chair And the couches below are because they are my kids 🙂 These are the ones I actually designed at the beginning of this collection, and if I had space for them (or at least this chair) in my house, they would be here in a heartbeat. Oh, and The “media console” There are actually three pieces next to each other (sold separately). It’s obviously modular, so you can stack it any way you like.

What makes you happier and more joyful than anything else? pink sofa??This is actually a bit softer and a dusty pink. We were very particular about choosing the most beautiful and most versatile tones. And this living room design strikes a perfect balance between curves and offset linear geometry. sofa, oval coffee tableand swivel chair (Yes, it’s a set of two!) Although it falls into the curved category; rug, media consoleand lamp It’s very linear (in a sense). I love that both the lugs and console have this “not perfect” geometric pattern. It feels very fresh. Don’t you think the visual weight distribution between the top and bottom is perfectly balanced? Modern and neutral with a touch of traditionality, it features an exciting yet calming pop of color.

Here is the final design of the crowd-favorite sofa…oscar. Emily described this as the “easiest to sink” in the collection, and she’s right. All sofas are comfortable (we don’t design/sell anything that isn’t), but this is the one you’ll really sink into. It’s pretty amazing, and that blue velvet is amazing. This living room design was also inspired by the old Emily Room. blue sofa and cowhide rug The primary callback is IYKYK. She also says that cowhide is very easy to care for and was the best rug when the kids were little. Mid-century modern style is a big influence here, and the aesthetic is media console, brass lampand color swivel chair! As I’ve been talking about throughout this post, the visual weight of the top and bottom is a bit off, but the coffee table is so chunky that it’s the perfect in-between.
