New gap x Nightmare before Christmas The collection has officially been dropped and is a stylish way to kick off the creepy season. The limited edition collection reimagined the classic silhouette of the gap through the lens of Burton’s stop motion masterpiece. Think of a cozy hoodie, graphic tee, oversized denim, flannel pajamas and accessories. From adults to children, from the smallest of newborns, there is something to guide the pumpkin king.

A strange and cheerful piece
The Gap calls the collection a tribute to “misfit, rule breakers, and all souls celebrating strange and cheerfulness,” and the spirit passes through every detail. Fans nod to everyday pieces woven seamlessly into the film’s most iconic characters, Jack, Sally and Zero Ghost’s Puppy -.
- For adults: Outstanding includes striped black denim jacket and matching barrel jeans winking in Jack’s skeletal suit. The graphic tank features lines such as “Nightmare” printed on the Gap’s college font, but the heavyweight hoodies and joggers acquire a creepy makeover with moody ties and black and white hues. There’s even a subtle cotton blend cardigan embroidered with Jack’s mischievous smile, perfect for layering when the air is crisp.
- For children and toddlers: The atmosphere is playful but practical. Expect a cozy vintage soft hoodie, embroidered tees, sailor tops, baggy jeans and baseball caps in vintage wash. - accessories: Round the capsule is a skull dot cap, an embroidered hat, and other small extras designed to tie together with a fall fit. These details make the collection feel perfect, as if they were to quickly step out of Halloween town, but they are actually wear-resistant.
Gap also made sure to make this collection as well as enjoyable to see it. Many of our works are made from environmentally friendly materials, including recycled cotton, polyester blends, and Tencel Liyocell (fabrics derived from wood pulp). The company also partnered with industry rethinking to support Equality (RISE), an initiative to invest in gender equity and women’s empowerment in factories where clothing is produced.
Nightmare before Christmas Capsule is the latest chapter in the collaboration between Gap Inc. and Disney. Earlier this year, Old Navy (another Gap Ink brand) launched its own Disney capsule featuring Mickey, Minnie and friends. Members of the Gapproach Program can also take advantage of Disney+ perks. This is a clever cross-brand effort that merges with streaming and shopping.
