2025 marks the 80th anniversary of Global Footwear Authority Footwear News. To celebrate 80 years of excellence in footwear reporting and the strict record of industry giants from Nike to Manolo Brafnik, the beloved publication threw fête in the Times Square edition of Paradise Club. This invitation-only celebration was directed by Michael Atmore, Chief Brand Officer of Fairchild Media and Editorial Director of Footwear News.
Toasted in historic product publications and featured footwear pioneers. The evening was also marked by an activation that filmed its biggest moment since 1945, and a sneak preview of upcoming prints and digital anniversary content. To close the event, participants chose moments of choice from partners such as Aetrex, Aldo Group, Prime, Caleres, Ecco, Maersk, Marc Fisher Footwear, New Balance, Puma, Rack Room, Skechers, and Skepad.
Gifts ranging from very practical (crew sock packs courtesy of train equipment from Aetrex and New Balance) to deep luxury (custom-carato that can be filled with popular delicious bonbon Swedish candies). Other items on the guest list include a A new structured balance cap with iconic ’47 logo stitching and a Puma Crossbody bag with adjustable straps.
