In order to offer only the most honest and tried-and-true advice, I was lucky enough to try out sweater styles in the tomato and peacock blue color scheme over two days, evaluating factors such as softness, breathability (especially in an unventilated subway car), and the overall beauty of the fall ensemble. As someone who still gets anxious when I think about those old itchy knits I had to wear as a kid, I’m also very picky about comfort, and I’m always on the lookout for sweaters that don’t bother me (or cause sensory overload) all day long, no matter where I take them.

On a cool New York morning, I decided to wear a tomato red Naadam sweater, white jeans, and a pair of green Adidas platform sunbaths. Immediately I was struck by how feather-like the material was. It didn’t feel heavy at all when draped over my body in an attractive, non-bulky way. The sleeves hit my wrists and were a perfect fit, but I decided to roll them up as an extra step. This only contributed to the chicness of the entire work.
During my commute, where I would normally be drenched in sweat by the time I got to my desk, the sweater maintained optimal breathability and breathability. When the weather gets colder, I envision myself wearing a padded vest over it, which can be tucked in (“the perfect length for a front tuck,” says Naadam) or more relaxed. That crew neckline also complimented the pearl necklace I decided to accessorize with after taking the photo above, which sadly accentuated the length of my neck. Call it the placebo effect, but I truly felt like the original cashmere sweater made me better and more graceful.

The next day, I tried the same Naadam’s best-selling Peacock Blue and I can safely say that the color was much darker than I expected but still retained its vibrancy. I paired it with a brown suede skirt, but you’ll probably want to pair it with bottoms that properly contrast the sweater’s jewel tones (for an even sharper look, rely on fashion’s “sandwich rule” and opt for similarly colored shoes and a lighter-toned midi skirt).
This item was exactly the same as the one I was wearing just 24 hours ago, albeit in a different color, so I had exactly the same impressions. But this time, I tucked the original cashmere sweater into the skirt. I could keep it on all day without it slipping off. My experiences in the past have resulted in less-than-ideal and less-than-professional looks.
When I felt like my forearms needed a little more freshness, I simply rolled up the sleeves of my sweater, but it never contributed to the baggy look. And I actually experienced it, very I felt a slight itch for the first hour of wearing it, but it was nothing compared to my grandma’s thick Fair Isle cardigan. Overall, Naadam’s Favorite was consistently smooth and comfortable on my skin.

Both variations of the Naadam The Original Cashmere Sweater were able to take my fall fit to a whole new level. I confidently went out into the street and managed to attract attention. What more could a girl really want?

If you’re not into the bright red spotlighted on the fall runways of brands like Ferragamo and Calvin Klein, or the type of blue that pays homage to peacock feathers, Naadam has 16 other colors available. The brand is so particular about expanding its product range that it even sells its products in cherry red (just a little more pink than the vegetable-inspired version). You need to carefully consider which shades speak to you and which ones will work best with your new fall fashion. But don’t think about it too much It’s going to be around for a long time, as multiple trending colors already have the dreaded “Notify me when available” notifications.
Naadam was founded in 2013 and quickly gained attention based on its mission to source cashmere fiber directly from Mongolian pastoral communities. This cuts out the middleman and pays more to suppliers. For this reason, consumer started reaping the benefits, and people soon realized that the lower-than-average pricing of Naadam’s cashmere products (they also sell loungewear, dresses, joggers, etc.) didn’t translate into lower-than-average quality. In fact, over the past decade, Naadam has led the market when it comes to timeless design, sustainable manufacturing methods, and fabrics that strike the Goldilocks balance of “not too thin, not too thick.”
Once Naadam showed the world that cashmere wasn’t some unaffordable pipe dream that made your wallet hurt just thinking about it, celebrities started jumping on board. Jamie Chung and Lea Michele are fans of the company, and they’re joined by countless TikTok influencers who are using Naadam to transform their personal style. To be honest, while wearing the Original Cashmere Sweater, I was tempted to make a video or two about its magic ( conan grayOf course, there’s no such thing as “just polyester” when it comes to closet staples.)
