Day 2 Challenge:
Days to Don’t Lose: Try to spend $0 today. Amazon orders, Starbucks, and random groceries are not running. You have this! (Save: $5-$15)
As I said above, I hadn’t planned ahead of time and was watching today’s assignments until this morning. We had planned a few things that cost money that day, but we changed our plan to follow the No Sunday Day Challenge.
One of the things we were trying to do was a quick store run. Tomorrow I left for a suburban baseball tournament and issued grocery orders to get things before I left. But then I accidentally planned to come on a Wednesday morning, not this morning. (I think it worked since then
However, we had so little groceries that Jesse was about to run through the store to grab some eggs, milk and yogurt. We decided to challenge ourselves to be creative with the groceries we have, not shopping. It’s positive that we saved at least $10 today (probably more, but I’m not going to over-inflate my savings).
Tomorrow, today I’ll share my meal from the pantry.

Some ways we saved money today:
- Instead of running to the store, we ate from the pantry.
- We took the kids to the gym for free childcare.
- I brought my own snacks and water to the gym along with the electrolytes.
- I got a free sample at the gym I had with the Mandarin Orange that I brought for a snack.
- Rather than staying home and going out and doing something that could cost money, I watched the show with the kids.
But… I had a big oopsie. I had planned my hair schedule but completely forgot about it until just two hours ago it didn’t last a no-sone day. I didn’t want to cancel just to become an extremist about following the Northday Day Rules (especially because it could ruin the stylist’s day and schedule and there’s a cancellation fee!).
Don’t know if that’s going to make me a day of failure without spending?
The goal was to save at least $5 to $10 today with the NO SEAND challenge. I’m going to say I saved $10 by eating from the pantry using what we had.
So we’ve been found/saved $25.25 so far. How much have you saved/find your own challenge?
