When I post weekly CVS deals, I often get questions about how the CVS Rewards program works and how to get great CVS deals every week. It may seem complicated when you’re just starting out, but don’t worry. This CVS primer will help you get up to speed quickly.
Start a CVS transaction:

First, to take advantage of the CVS sale, you need to: You need a CVS store near you. check here Please check if this is the case.
In that case you need to do the following: Apply for a CVS card. you can do this onlinethe CVS Health app, or in-store. Participation in CVS ExtraCare is free. All you need to enter is your name, phone number, and valid email address.
Once you create an account and get your membership number, you can use the CVS app to find out about the week’s sales and track sales and offers.
Note: You can also request a physical card by calling 1-800-SHOP-CVS and scan your card at an in-store Coupon Care Center kiosk to receive a printed coupon each week. I think this app is easier because it tracks transactions and doesn’t require you to keep printed coupons/ECBs, but all of these transactions also work with physical cards and printed coupons.
To set up your CVS account:
download CVS app in the App Store or by texting “App” to CVS-APP (287-277).
Open the app, log in, and enter the details you shared when creating your account.
Visit your account to see this week’s sales, add coupons to your account, and track sales and offers.

Using your CVS ExtraCare Account (CVS Rewards Program)
When checking out, be sure to Have the cashier scan your card or in-app barcodeor enter your linked phone number before initiating a transaction call. If you want to place a pick-up order in the app, please make sure you’re logged in. All deals are tied to your card’s account number, so if your purchase isn’t tied to your card, you won’t be able to take advantage of any deals.

Basics of saving with CVS:
At its most basic, saving money at CVS is the same as saving money on groceries. You save money when you match your purchases with sales for the week, and you save even more when you can add coupons to those savings.
This alone can save you a lot of money on medicines, toiletries, household items, and even groceries, but we’ll take it a step further and teach you how to make the most of these deals.

CVS Savings Hacks: Great deals, coupon combinations, and benefits explained:
There are so many ways to save at CVS that shopping at CVS can be like the bargain-finding Olympics. Take advantage of each savings method and build it up slowly, and you’ll feel like a gold medal saver in no time. But let’s talk about all the ways you can save when shopping at CVS.

CVS weekly sale
CVS releases weekly ads every week. Some sales simply indicate a discounted price on a product. Also, there are often buy-two-get-one-free deals on products.
For example, instead of buying one package of Crest Toothpaste for $4.69, you can buy two for $7.98 and save $1.40.

CVS in-app coupons
in CVS Health AppYou can find coupons for even more savings in our weekly ads. Just click “Shop and Save” in the bottom right corner and you’ll see all the coupons you can click on.
Each coupon will indicate whether the sale is available in-store or online (usually both). These coupons can be just about $1 to $7 off the purchase price of a specific product (i.e., $3 off Tide PODS Laundry Detergent 32 Count or 42 Count) or a discount on one of the brand’s products (i.e., $5 off L’Oréal Facial Care).
To add these coupons to your account, press the + sign in the bottom right corner[カードに送信]Click.
So let’s take another look at Crest Toothpaste’s weekly sale. If you use the $4 off coupon for 2 adult Crest toothpastes, you’ll pay $3.98 for the 2 packages, making your savings $5.40.

CVS Care Center Coupon
When shopping at CVS, we highly recommend checking into the red CVS Care Center. Scanning your card at the care center will give you additional coupons beyond the in-app coupons, often in conjunction with weekly sales. If you become a member for more than 7 days, you will be able to receive even more discount coupons. You can also scan your ExtraCare card multiple times in one visit, as new coupons may be printed after the first round.
manufacturer coupons
Manufacturer coupons include those found in newspapers or printed from websites ( coupon.com), or from the manufacturer’s email or website (e.g. pepsico or kellogg).
At CVS, you can use both manufacturer coupons and CVS store coupons on the same item. This is called “stacking” and can lead to even bigger savings.
of CVS coupon policy We have detailed information about when stacking is possible, which is helpful for reference if you have stacking issues at checkout.

E.C.B.
This is where CVS savings get even more special. CVS weekly ads include sales where you can receive “ExtraBucks Rewards” on your purchases.
This benefit may be called “ExtraBucks Reward” or “Extra Care Buck” (referred to online as ECB). you can This coupon can be used like cash for your next purchase. With a few exceptions (for example, you can’t make purchases using stamps or gift cards, which are explained in a bit more detail in the ECB’s fine print).
This means that when you purchase an item with money out of your pocket, you receive a “coupon” at the end of your receipt (or sent to the app) equal to the amount of the item you purchased. This coupon is an ECB or ExtraBucks Reward.

How about an example? I mentioned earlier about the Crest Toothpaste sale, and thanks to the sale and in-app coupon, I saved $5.40 and only paid $3.98 for the 2 package. If CVS has a “buy 2, get $3 ExtraBucks” deal, if you pay $3.98 now, you’re effectively earning $3 towards your next purchase, making the total cost of the two packages of toothpaste $0.98.
It is important to note that these ECBs do not expire (usually 30 days) and you will initially be paying out of pocket to obtain these ECBs. but Once you earn ECBs by paying for items out-of-pocket, you can use those ECBs to pay for your next transaction. Since you have to keep rolling ECBs over and over again, the goal is always to use the ECBs you earned on your last trade to buy something that will earn you the same amount or the same amount on your next trade. more ECB than you spent.
My goal is to keep as little of my own money as possible and roll over my ECB so that I end up with the same or more ECB that I spent. By doing this, you can usually get $20 to $50 worth of groceries and household items, only spend about $5 out of pocket, and earn enough ECB to do it again the following week.
This article is updated weekly to include the week’s best sales at CVS. This allows you to continue using your ECB with maximum savings and minimum effort.
Bonus tip: While you’re shopping, you can scan an item in the app to see if it’s eligible for an ExtraBucks offer.

ExtraBucks bonus income
CVS offers several ways to earn additional ExtraBucks rewards, including quarterly bonuses, pharmacy rewards, and birthday rewards.
CVS encourages regular shopping with additional quarterly bonuses. This means that on January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st of each year, you will receive 2% of your qualifying purchases in the past quarter in ExtraBucks Rewards.
If you have the same birthday, you will also receive a $3 birthday bonus.
You can also opt-in for pharmacy benefits. This allows you to earn up to $50 each year by filling prescriptions at CVS and getting certain vaccinations at CVS. you can Learn more about opting in for pharmacy benefits.
All of these ExtraBucks Rewards are available in-store or online.

Save to CVS using other apps
As if all this wasn’t enough, you can combine weekly CVS sales, coupons, ECB and cashback apps to further increase your CVS savings. Rakuten, Ibotta, Fetch, and Shopkick all offer rebates, link your Shopkick account to the ExtraCare app to automatically earn rewards on eligible purchases, earn cash back when you submit your receipts to Fetch or Ibotta, and get a percentage of your purchases back in cash when you use Rakuten when shopping at CVS online.
We regularly post sales that combine CVS shopping with cashback sites. Be sure to visit this CVS Sale Under $1 post to find the best deals.

CVS Money Making Transactions: How to Get Paid for Shopping
In some cases, the value of the coupons and offers you earn can exceed the price of the product, and this is called “money-making.”
(Please note: the store doesn’t actually “make money” in that you pay cash to shop there, but it does “make money” in that it costs you less out of pocket than the money you get back in the ECB and you can use it on your next purchase.)

For example, we recently had a buy-one-get-one 50% off sale on our $5.99 bottle of AX Body Wash, making 2 bottles for $8.98. I clipped a $5/2 AX coupon within the app. That means you paid $3.98. Then I won $4 on ECB. So I “earned” $0.02 in coupons and ECB, and walked away with $11.98 worth of body wash.
I “made money” by buying these because I got back more in the ECB than I initially spent out of pocket. You can also “earn” even more money in some cases, as you can combine manufacturer coupons with store coupons and ECBs.
In most cases, there is a limit to the number of items that can be purchased per card to generate ECB. This is usually between 1 and 5 and can be found in small print below the deal in the ad.
