If you haven’t heard of Red Wing Shoes Company yet, you’re missing it. Founded in 1905 from Red Wing, Minnesota, it has deep roots in the production of work boots aimed at all pursuits and professions. Today, the most iconic silhouette from the archives is getting a new lease of life in time for the brand’s 120th anniversary.
Engineers, Pecos and Loggers combine the durability and resistance to wear of the original style with wear and wear resistance that respects the needs of today’s consumers.
“We’re obsessed with every stitching, every skin, [and] All soles, great design and excellent materials make it more than fashion. “We’ve seen a lot of effort into making this a reality,” Amy Peck, product designer at Red Wing Shoe Co., said in a press release:

The male-only capsules are made entirely in the US, with the Logger Boots in particular being a stitching replica of the highly acclaimed Red Wing Shoes ancestors. A tribute to the brand’s 1961 logger, the 2025 fit version is laced with full grain leather, either in black shades or in Auburn tint Briar. The Vibram outsole here provides performance points and keeps stability and traction in front of the mind. Meanwhile, the 90-degree heels stay upright as they sprint through snow, sleet and other unpleasant weather conditions. Some hardware enthusiasts will be happy to know that new loggers from the new traditional loggers feature nickel eyelets.
More fans of the 1930s? This collection features engineer boots. In fact, it was first introduced in 1936 as a horse rider or hunter style. A few years later, the shoes were favored by railway engineers who appreciated the seamless pull-on design, spacious toes and ground-grap outsole. The pre-war boots were reimagined in Black Klondi leather. Whether it’s stable or in the city streets, I know that shoe utilities match the ability to create style statements well.

Last but certainly important is Pecos, a red wing shoe derived from the shoes born in 1953 that the cowboy used as roper boots. This requires a shorter shaft, round toes and lower heels than standard cowboy boots. Like engineers, PECOS jumped over industry and was soon accepted by Texas oil workers. In honor of this history, the 2025 Receration’s Chemigum outsole is oil resistant, and its rough-out leather is much more resilient than similar suede, but with a similar underhand feel. Nevertheless, we’re quick to thank Pecos’ almond-shaped toes that leave plenty of room for the feet, as well as leather comfort pads with the doll adding cushions.

The best part of this capsule may be the fact that it was thrilling us in 2145. After all, The Red Wing Shoe Co. celebrated its launch by burying (literally) time capsules outside Minnesota headquarters. internal? All three of the boot styles are buried in containers designed to withstand the elements, along with the product manifesto and brand artifacts, just like its contents.
“The act of burial is both a homage to the past and a promise to the future, proving that the Red Wing boots and the value behind them are relevant to future generations,” Brand says.
Buy shoes, build importance and watch each one make your The footsteps of the future will be sturdy.
