I am the queen of reminders, especially as a work-from-home mom. I want to help us know our worth and speak up for ourselves. Before I had my baby, I made some decisions that weren’t ideal, and just thinking about them makes me feel so bad.
This may sound like a big deal, but having my daughter has made me wiser and now I work for myself.
Here are some tips I learned.
All work is disposable
Full-time, part-time, freelance… Opportunities come and go. It’s sad, but 100% true. We have to remember that and act accordingly. Take time off, set hours, set limits.
You can’t control the market
If you have a stable job, be happy and grateful. Many people don’t. I am incredibly grateful that I’ve had the same job since 2009. But this is not true for everyone. COVID-19 has been a heartbreaking event for many, and many have lost their jobs.
Work to Live
You can’t live to work. This was hard for me to understand for years, but setting work hours literally changed that.
With that being said, is it possible to work from home entirely?
