Global superstar and philanthropist Usher celebrates the end of his shocking 100-date Social Impact Tour with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Joseph B. Whitehead Boys & Girls Club in Atlanta unveiled its new content studio and entertainment industry club. This milestone event reflects USHER’s commitment to empowering youth through meaningful opportunities and talent development. The tour, in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Afterschool Alliance, began last August and attracted more than 4,800 youth participants in 11 cities, including Washington, D.C. Detroit, Michigan. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Oakland, California, Houston, Texas, and Brooklyn, New York.

It shows our mission.” “Through this tour, we are proud to have inspired over 4,800 young people across the country, far exceeding our original goal of reaching 3,000 young people.”
As part of the culminating event of his Social Impact Tour, Usher will partner with Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta to cut the ribbon on the Usher Raymond IV Spark Lab.
“Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta is thrilled to announce this year’s launch of the long-awaited Usher Raymond IV Spark Lab,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta President and Chief Executive Officer CEO David Jernigan said. “Usher’s Spark Lab is not only a resource for club members, but also a space where they can gain hands-on experience in areas such as music production, filmmaking, and photography. Perfectly aligned with our mission to ignite the limitless potential of children and teens by creating a supportive environment, allowing them to find their spark and pursue their passions. ”
In addition to Spark Lab, Usher’s new look We are also announcing the launch of our new flagship program, the Entertainment Industry Club. It is an innovative workforce development and entrepreneurship program first introduced by Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeast Michigan in 2020. This innovative program has since become a national model, empowering young people. For students ages 14 to 24, we provide hands-on training, career exploration, and real-world experience in high-demand industries. Participants earn $15 an hour while completing 120 hours of curriculum and training led by industry experts. The program’s expansion continues with its launch in Atlanta to include a state-of-the-art Spark Lab that inspires creativity and skill-building.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrated USHER’s New Look’s 25-year legacy and its unwavering dedication to transforming the lives of under-resourced youth through inclusive, passion-driven leadership programs. The launch of the Entertainment Industry Club is scheduled for 2025, and this initiative reaffirms USHER’s continued commitment to creating bright futures for youth across the country.
