Recently, to celebrate my birthday, I went on an amazing island getaway to Providenciales in Turks and Caicos. Turks and Caicos has been on my travel wish list for quite some time, so I knew right away that it would be the perfect place to celebrate another year around the sun. I brought my closest family and friends and it was the most memorable vacation I’ve ever had.
Turks and Caicos is as amazing as you would expect. It is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. Here is my Turks and Caicos travel guide that summarises everything I experienced on the islands. I hope you enjoy.
Accommodation: Private villas in Turks and Caicos
As there were seven of us traveling, we decided to find a home that we could all stay in together. Luckily, we found the perfect private villa on Airbnb. It couldn’t have been more amazing and functional for our group, with four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom (great for couples), and a picturesque backyard facing the Leeward Canal.
Our villa was super close to almost everything we did, with easy access to Grace Bay Beach and less than 10 minutes to get to restaurants and bars. We loved that they also provided paddle boards and kayaks, it’s right on the canal so exploring the calm waters is great.
What to do: Activities in Turks and Caicos Islands
It was my birthday so I wanted to do something special. Alice Through the Looking Glass It was hard to get a reservation! How many times have you experienced drone photography on a tropical island in a transparent kayak?! I couldn’t miss this opportunity. You get about 300 images on the spot, so it’s a great deal! You can do it alone or as a couple.
Rent a boat.
I would definitely recommend a private charter boat – if you have the money it’s well worth it! We had such a great time. Poseidon Charters 5 hour boat trip. There is nothing better than being on a beautiful boat, cruising the most amazing ocean and being together with friends. We turned up the music to the max, danced, ate, drank, snorkeled, relaxed… it was all amazing.

What to Eat: Restaurants in Turks and Caicos Islands
To be honest, I need to make another trip to explore more restaurants. The options are pretty extensive and I’ve only just scratched the surface.
