Wing Chun Dance Drama will be performing its North American premiere at Meridian Hall from December 16, 2025 to January 4, 2026.

The show tells the story of Ip Man, the legendary Wing Chun Master who coached Bruce Lee. Created by Shenzhen Opera and Dance Theatre, this award-winning production blends Wing Chun, Tai Chi, Baguazhang, Bajiquan and prayer mantis boxing with acrobatic choreography and fantastic stage designs.

There are two stories. First, he follows IP Man in Hong Kong in the 1950s, navigates the challenge and defends his philosophy that true strength is to stop not starting a fight. Then jumping into the 1990s, the crew of the film captures his story for future generations.
