Economic oppression has racial and gender boundaries.


Black women in the UK are among the hardest hit by the cost of living crisis, new figures show. Many of us are juggling side hustles, caring for responsibilities, and increasing bills.

However, this is an area that is rarely covered in the news. Black women are innovating through it. Digital shops, hair and beauty services, creative consulting and community money cycles support household livelihoods.

Still, Britain needs to be honest. When Black women thrive, entire communities rise up. When we struggle, the country loses talent and stability. We need policies that recognize reality.
