I visited with a very enjoyable experience Chad Tea Room In Torrance, California It was a truly charming little escape! Whenever I’m in a new city, I love using Tiktok to discover hidden gems. That’s why I came across this place just 15 minutes from my hotel in Redondo Beach.
The Chad Tea Room first opened its doors on West 3rd Avenue in 1990 as a quaint small tea room lined with 300 tea shops from around the world. In 1993, Leena Shah and her husband Devan took over and began to change the Los Angeles tea scene. By 1999, Tekeste “Tek” Mehreteab joined the team, starting out as a chef and eventually becoming a partner, helping to expand to multiple locations, including this lovely place in Torrance.
I convinced my boyfriend. We chose them Celebration afternoon tea serviceA choice of wine-inspired iced tea, a chocolate infused with tea, a cream choice of tomato soup or a chad salad, a three-layer stand of four half sandwiches (smoked salmon, soothing chicken, Punjabi, limerick), fresh scones of chad cream and jam, macarons, butter cookies and pat tea. Everything was newly prepared and absolutely sacred! I went with Beauty White Tea.
One of the cute touches? They have an entire wall of tea that you can sample or buy, and there is even a choice of hats to pair with your clothes, how fun is it? I looked around and saw tea parties happening everywhere, including bridal showers.
If you’re in the area or planning a California holiday, Chad Tea Room is a must-see. With several locations in the city, it’s a great place to slow down, take a sip and taste. See more inside…
