Grammy-nominated singer Summer Walker stopped by jennifer hudson shaw We chat about her new album and everything she’s got going on. Just last week, here in Atlanta, she surprised fans by announcing the launch of her own dump truck company on Instagram.
In a playful promotional video, Summer reveals that a bright light blue-painted dump truck “drives around Atlanta picking up ex-boyfriends’ stuff.” There was also a phone number on the back of the truck, but it was cut out in the video she shared.
“Make sure you’re prepared,” she joked. “You don’t have to grab anything else, we’ll come get it for you!”
It didn’t take long for fans to realize that the dump truck idea was part of a creative marketing campaign for her next album. It’s finally overthe third and final installment of her “Over It” trilogy, opens on Friday, November 14th. The promotion is in partnership with YouTube, which is supporting the development of her new project.
As part of the campaign, the truck stopped at Spelman College in Atlanta, where students were asked to throw away items they no longer need. These donations will go to local charities in Atlanta.
During an appearance on Jennifer’s show, Summer also talked about her journey from posting guitar covers on YouTube and Vine to becoming a Grammy nominee and making history with Taylor Swift. She spoke candidly about releasing stress, embracing growth, and stepping confidently into a new chapter, themes that inspired her latest album. It’s finally over. See more inside…
