Sterling K. Brown plans to celebrate a major milestone in the most hilarious way possible with a 50th birthday roast.
“My wife is going to roast me a roast,” he said. “It’s not like I’m a pig or anything, you’re just making fun of me.” Brown explained that the idea came from a pure desire to laugh with the people who mean the most to him. “I just wanted to laugh with the people I love who love you.” The guest list will be a meaningful mix of all chapters of his life, including high school and college friends and collaborators on projects such as this is us, paradiseetc.
But when it comes to his marriage, Brown admits that he and his wife continue to have unresolved arguments. It’s the bedroom thermostat.
“The thing we differ the most on is probably the temperature in the bedroom,” he joked. “She loves warm things,” he says with characteristic humor, explaining how the tug-of-war for the nightly cover unfolds. “I’m all sweaty and I kick the sheets off and she tries to put them back on!”
Despite their disagreements, Brown remains playful, proving that laughter is truly the secret to a happy marriage.
