Red Carpet Rundown: Netflix’s “Forever” Los Angeles Special Screening and After Party

Netflix has forever celebrated its upcoming drama series ahead of its release on Thursday, May 8th. The cast and crew attended a special screening of the first episode at Tudum Theatre, followed by “Forever Market” in a partnership with Black on the Block.

Cast attended include Lovie Simone (Keisha), Michael Cooper Jr. (Justin), Karen Pittman (Dawn), Wood Harris (Eric), Xosha Roquemore (Shelly), Marvin Winans III (Jaden), Niles Fitch (Darius), and Aling Aside Bideer Creator Mara Brock Akil. Additional notable attendees include Lena Weihe, Yvette Nicole Brown, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Dr. Wendy Osefo, Amari Marshall, Susie Fitzgerald (Executive Producer), Shana C. Waterman (Executive Producer), Rayna King (Executive Producer/Director), Anthony Hemingway (Executive Producer), and Executive Harrison (Executive Producer). more.

Netflix’s Chief Content Manager Bela Bajaria began screening with Forever’s introduction and invited creator, showrunner and author Mara Brock Akil to the stage to present the first episode.

The night ended with a celebratory, immersive “Forever Market” in a partnership with Black on the Block. It established a dynamic Los Angeles to raise black-owned businesses through curated community gathering events. “Forever Market” brought together the LA community to celebrate local vendors and reflected the series as a true love letter to the city.

Food vendors for “Forever Market” include Marathon Burger, Simply Somethy, Happy Ice and The Cupcake Junkie. Guests were able to receive gifts including Asanti’s Forever-Inspired Jewelry, including Koi, Forever Rose Candle Co. and custom cushions from Pillow Lab. See all the fun inside…
