rescue has arrived in New York. On Thursday, August 1, Bevy Smith hosted a dinner celebrating the film at Le Bernardin. Director Lee Daniels, Andra Day, Mo’Nique, Demi Singleton, and Aunjanu Ellis Taylor were in attendance. Featured guests included Sunny Hostin (author and TV host), Tamron Hall (talk show host), Don Lemon (media personality), Kehinde Wiley (artist), Jerrod Carmichael (Poor Things), Kara Young (I’m a Virgo), Nick Cannon (TV host), Jordan Cooper (creator of the Ms. Pat Show), and Ari Melber (MSNBC anchor).
The following evening, Friday August 2nd, Lee Daniels and the cast hosted an intimate screening at the Whitby Hotel, followed by a Q&A with Lee Daniels moderated by Sunny Hostin (author and TV host).
