Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan were in Sydney, Australia today. The duo took part in the Australian premiere of the film at the event Cinemas West Field Bondy, which included a special fashion and music fan event with purple carpets. “Freakier Friday” will only open in theaters on August 8th, 2025.

In the film, Curtis and Lohan recreate their roles as Tess and Anna Coleman. The story is picked up a few years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endure the crisis of identity. Anna currently has her own daughter and soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the countless challenges that come when the two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning could actually attack twice. “Freakier Friday” is directed by Nisha Ganatra and is based on Mary Rogers’ book “Freaky Friday.” It also stars Julia Buttertars, Sofia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitrey Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Vanessa Bayer and Mark Harmon.
