Hollywood went wild tonight as the stars and filmmakers of Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King were special guests at the film’s world premiere at the Dolby Theater. An all-new big-screen adventure exploring the unexpected rise of the Pride Lands’ beloved king begins in theaters December 20th. You can now download and share event images, B-roll, and soundbites.

The star-studded event included Aaron Pierre (Mufasa), Kelvin Harrison Jr. (Taka), Tiffany Boone (Sarabi), Kagiso Lediga (Young Rafiki), Preston Nyman (Zazu), blue ivy carter (Chiara), John Kani (Rafiki), Seth Rogen (Pumbaa), Billy Eichner (Timon)Anika Noni Rose (Afia), Keith David (Masego), Braylin Rankins (Mufasa Kabu), Theo Somol (Taka Kabu), beyonce knowles carter (Nala), Folake Olowofoyeku (Amara), and Tuso Mbedu (Junior). Tickets for “Mufasa: The Lion King” are on sale now. Rafiki is asked to tell the legend of Mufasa to Kiara, a young lion cub who is the daughter of Simba and Nala, and Timon and Pumbaa show off their special skills. Told in flashback, the story begins with Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka, an heir to his royal bloodline. A chance encounter begins an expansive journey for a group of unusual misfits in search of their destiny. Their bonds will be tested as they work together to evade a menacing and deadly enemy. The film also stars Aaron Pierre, Kelvin Harrison Jr., John Kani, Tiffany Boone, Kagiso Lediga, Preston Nyman, Mads Mikkelsen, Thandiwe Newton, Lennie James, Anika Noni Rose, Keith Featuring a talented all-star roster, including David and Seth Rogen. , Billy Eichner, Donald Glover, Blue Ivy Carter, Braelynn Rankins, Teosomol, Folake Olowofoyeku, Joanna Jones, Tuso Mbedu, Sheila Atim, Abdul Salisu, Dominic Jennings, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter . Combining live-action filmmaking techniques with photorealistic computer-generated imagery, this all-new feature film is directed by Barry Jenkins, produced by Adele Romanski and Mark Chelyak, and executive produced by Peter Tobjansen. Featuring original songs by award-winning songwriter Lin-Manuel Miranda, an original score by Dave Metzger, and additional music and vocal performance by Lebo M, Mufasa: The Lion King will be released on December 20, 2024. It will be released only in theaters.
