The African American Film Critics Association has announced the 16th AAFCA Awards to celebrate outstanding achievements in the film held at Beverly Hills on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, and a selection of top 10 films in the film.
Amber Ruffin held the ceremony. There, Nicole Avant, Ramel Ross and Malcolm Washington were praised. Winners Marianne Jean Baptist, Colman Domingo, Aunünne Ellis Taylor, Ethan Helis, Brandon Wilson, Daniel Deadwiller, Chris Bowers, Ray Fisher, Greg Quadder, Clint Bentley, Clarence McLinn attended accepting the joint award with the President of the AAFCA. – Founder Gil Robertson, who hosted the event.
Other participants include Ted Sarundos, Tyler Perry, Questlove, Lynn Whitfield, Kym Whitley, Tyler Lepley, Robert Ri’chard, Kat Graham and others. The AAFCA proudly included First Responder as a special guest at this year’s ceremony in honor of his recent heroic efforts at LA Wildfires.
