The next time you fly out of Memphis International Airport (MEM), take a moment to slow down, wander the concourse, check out the local art, and pick up something delicious at one of the local (and airport exclusive!) eateries. There are a few little gems you should try if you have the time.

Thanks to you art in the airport program (cooperate urban art commission), local artists, students, and photographers can display their work throughout MEM’s concourses and in baggage claim. As someone who was born and raised in Memphis, it’s great to see the city’s talent expressed in such creative ways. No matter where you go in the airport, you’ll find amazing murals, photographs, and paintings. This is a great thing for people visiting the city!






And since travel calories don’t count (lol), be sure to skip the chain restaurants and stop at one of the local eateries for a snack. Stage left Pizza, Bar & Grill One of the best salmon sandwiches I’ve ever tasted. The fries are seasoned properly and the service is quick, making it perfect for grab-and-go type situations. I also tried them pretty woman A light and fun prosecco-based cocktail. We also have several types of gelato available. sweet magnolia (This is also a local favorite) so it’s easy to get a good meal whether you’re coming or going.




From local artwork to delicious drinks and snacks, there’s always a good reason to slow down the next time you’re flying through Memphis International Airport.
