She continued: “Nothing happens in vain, because here I am in a blended family, co-parenting with Anthony, enjoying life, and having someone to just be there for me…but my childhood Someone who knew what it was like was preparing me for what my life would be like.”
During the conversation, Monica mentioned the word “auntie” which has become popular on social media. She said she sees the label as a labor of love that conveys respect and has no problem with it.
“When I ask, ‘Auntie, what’s wrong,’ I know I’m in Atlanta,” she said. “It shows a connection to me. For me, being called Auntie is not a negative thing. It shows respect. I’m never happier than when I talk about Auntie.”
