I’ve been a makeup junkie forever and love trying new things, but I also love a solid, no-fail list of beauty products that I know I can always go back to. Not all are holy grail makeup products, but they are ones that I have found work well together and on their own. Also, now that I’m in my 40s, my skin is doing what it wants when it wants it, so these work well even in its iterations.
Currently, my skin hates both full coverage makeup or too revealing foundation, so I’ve found a makeup product that provides a happy medium. If you’re on the hunt to try some new makeup, here are some products I’m loving right now.
Live Tint Fugard Skin Tint SPF 50 Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum
This is the latest addition to my makeup bag and I love it. Colormatch is amazing and I love how it feels on my skin – it’s very lightweight. Also, I don’t need to use much either, which is great, but it’s buildable if you want more coverage. I got the mini version to try and plan to buy the full size bottle when I’m done.
Milani Conceal + Perfect Longwear Concealer
I’ve been using this concealer on and off for the past few years, but I realized earlier this year that it works best under my eyes when it’s really hydrating and self-setting (no powder). It’s also great for days when you need under-eye coverage and spot treatment.
Abh Brow Wiz Precision Eyebrow Pencil
This is one of my favorite eyebrow pencils. Although it is creamy, it also adheres to the eyebrow hair very well so you can create a great brow look without having to apply it here and there.
This powder is a beast in the best way. It relieves tf from your face but since it is finely milled you only need a little bit (too much and you look dry lol). If you’re oily, a little bit of your natural oil will eventually work its way through, but you’ll just look greasy and greasy.
A fun makeup hack is to use shadow sticks when you want to add a little more guts to your look without using actual eyeshadow. Bonus points if they sparkle a little. This pale color is very pretty and gives definition to your eyes even without mascara. Wear it like a regular eyeliner or apply it completely on your lids and blend. I did it with one!
Lash Idol Lash Lifting Volume Mascara
This is the only mascara that I have left on my oily eyelids. If you want to really build up your lash primer, add some lash primer and make sure it stays put, but you don’t necessarily have to use it. Pro-Tip: I buy the mini size because my mascara dries quickly and I don’t want to waste product.
Ulta Beauty Cloud Blush Bluring Blush
I love this blush formula. It is not too pigmented and when fused gives a soft, dewy look. This color is a Pea Eye Affect Peach shade and I wear it almost every day.
Yves Saint Laurent All Hours 24H Hyper Sunkissed Glow Bronzer
This is one of the best bronzers I have ever used. I received it in a PR and will totally buy it when it runs out. Now you look really sunkissed and orange.
I don’t always want to do full color on my lips. This lip oil is perfect. Your lips will look like you ate some juicy cherries, so if you like the done/undone makeup look, this is perfect for it.
Nyx Butter Gloss Nonstick Lip Gloss
I used Nyx Butter Glosses in Yeears and they are my go-to charm for Lipgloss. They are thick without being gloopy, have enough pigment without being too opaque, and come in lots of color. This is my favorite for fall, I own like 8 different colors.
There are a few other products I’m trying out, but for now, these are part of my daily makeup bag.
