In “Nice Girls,” Jazz and Mahalia explore the vulnerable honesty that comes after a breakup. “Nice girls lose, I can’t get enough of you” Jazz declares in the chorus. Jazz and Mahalia’s ethereal voices blend together and seamlessly blend together as they float throughout the song.
Speaking about the song, Jazz said, “This song is about karma. This song is about how it feels to be on the other side of the story and why the good girls don’t win. It’s a collaboration between two girls in love who’ve been hurt. I really love this song because we’ve all felt this way at one point.”
Speaking of the collaboration, Mahalia revealed, “I’ve been a fan of jazz music for so long that I still can’t believe we’d never worked together before. When she sent me ‘Nice Girls’ I knew it would be the perfect duet. It’s a moment of two women sharing the pain of heartbreak. I couldn’t be happier to be a part of this record and was honoured to be asked.”
