We’ve always said that the day we stop wearing black is the day they invent darker colors, and the beauty world fully agrees with this.

One of the hottest trends on the Fall/Winter 2015 catwalk shows is making a chic, bold, almost black statement on the lips and eyes. It has a very edgy vibe to it, which makes it so appealing that it’s hard to take your eyes off it.

Apply a dark, almost black lipstick to your clean face and defined eyebrows, and smudge your eyes for a grunge look.

You can add dark eyeshadow to the corners of your eyes, around the edges for a smoky look, or completely across your eyelids. No matter which eyeshadow you apply, you’re sure to create a bold look. Dark eyeshadows are great for blending and pair well with silvers, golds, and browns.

Dark lips are a color that anyone can pull off, so buy them right away. If you want to leave the house feeling a little different, a little more sexy and mysterious, pick up deep purple, cherry burgundy, or black and own it.

Lord and Berry Lipstick Black Red £13

Revlon Colorstay Smoky Shadow Stick Volcanic £7.99

Illamasqua Eyeshadow (Obsidian) £16.50
