When we think of the beach, we tend to automatically think of seafood. Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina They told me there was more to enjoy! Last month my husband and I visited Wrightsville Beach for a few days to celebrate my birthday and it was so much fun! Check out some of the things we enjoyed, including paddle boarding. hereDuring our stay, we enjoyed a lot of delicious local food. The best part was that most of the places were not only delicious, but also very affordable for an upscale experience. 5 Great Places to Eat and Drink in #WrightsvilleBeach

1. Lighthouse Beer & Wine

One of the first places we went after arriving at Wrightsville Beach was the very popular Lighthouse Beer & WineWith over 600 different wines on offer, it’s no surprise that this place is popular. Not only does it have a great wine selection, but it also has over 800 different international beers. We had fun trying so many new drinks. The staff was very friendly and really helped us find the perfect drink. We ended up choosing the Capriccio White Sangria, which was delicious. This is a must-visit place if you’re in the area.

Right next to Lighthouse Beer & Wine Poe’s IzakayaIf you’re wondering why it’s called Poe’s Tavern, you’re probably right. It’s named after the famous author, Edgar Allan Poe. They have craft beer and unique burgers. We enjoyed our burger with a delicious onion straw. While you’re there, you might want to stop by the restroom to not only wash your hands but also check out the literary works hanging on the walls.

3. Workshop

Whether you want something light for breakfast or something a little heavier, Workshop There is. We stopped in for a coffee and a light breakfast before going to the beach. Loved the iced mocha. My husband and I shared a delicious breakfast croissant that was warmed up on the spot. It’s a small restaurant but has seating inside and outside, which was nice since the weather was nice.

4. East Oceanfront Dining

If you want to enjoy dinner with a view, this is the place for you! East Oceanfront Dining It’s located inside the beautiful Blockade Runner Beach Resort. We enjoyed our table on beautiful white wicker chairs overlooking the oceanfront gardens. We decided to enjoy some drinks and appetizers together there and the bacon and collard green dip was amazing. So tasty and the view was beautiful. If you want more main dishes there are some tasty options.

5. Tower 7 Baja Mex

Our final stop in Wrightsville Beach was a place that was recommended to us many times by locals during our stay. We had been told many times to go to Tower 7 and now we can see why. We stopped in for a quick late night meal and we could see why the place was busy on a Monday night. As soon as we were seated, chips and salsa were brought to us. The shrimp tacos were exceptional. We had thought of this place many times since our trip and needless to say, the margaritas here were amazing. This will definitely be one of the first places we go on our next trip.
