Disney and Pixar have unveiled the first teaser trailer and all-new poster for Toy Story 5, this time featuring Toy Meets Technology.
The teaser introduces fans to a new character, Lilypad. Lilypad, a high-tech frog-shaped smart tablet voiced by Greta Lee (Past Lives, The Morning Show, Tron: Ares), makes the job of Buzz, Woody, Jesse, and the rest of the gang exponentially more difficult as they face a new threat threatening their playtime.
Tom Hanks returns as the faithful cowboy Woody, Tim Allen returns for duty as Buzz Lightyear, Joan Cusack reprises her role as the feisty cowgirl Jessie, and Tony Hale returns as the voice of the homemade toy Forky. It was recently announced that Conan O’Brien will also be joining the voice cast as Smarty Pants, a technological toilet training toy.
Director Andrew Stanton and co-director Kenna Harris said, “This has been a hilarious and moving journey exploring how our favorite legacy toy teams respond to today’s technological world, and we’re thrilled to share this first glimpse with audiences. The incredibly talented Greta Lee brought Lilypad to life, and the work that balanced her playful adversarial tone with humor and heart was incredible.”
Toy Story 5 is directed by Academy Award® winner Andrew Stanton (Wall-E, Finding Nemo, Finding Dory), co-directed by Kenna Harris (Ciao Alberto) and produced by Lindsay Collins (Turning Red, Wall-E, Finding Dory). This animated adventure will be released in theaters nationwide on June 19, 2026.
