Apple TV has released the trailer for season 2 of the highly anticipated “Hijack,” starring and executive produced by SAG Award winner and Emmy nominee Idris Elba (“Luthor”). The eight-episode second season, created by George Kay (Lupin, Criminal) and Jim Field Smith (Criminal, Litvinenko), will premiere worldwide on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, with one episode weekly thereafter until March 4.
In the thrilling second season of Hijack, the Berlin subway and its commuters are taken hostage, and authorities on the ground scramble to save hundreds of lives. Sam Nelson (Elba) is at the center of a crisis on board, where one wrong decision could spell disaster.

Produced by 60Forty Films and Idiotlamp Productions, “Hijack” Season 2 is executive produced by Jamie Lawrenson, Hakan Kousetta and Tom Nash of 60Forty Films, and co-produced by executive producers Kaye and Field Smith of Idiotlamp Productions. Field-Smith also serves as the series’ lead director.
Season 2 reunites the star ensemble cast, including Elba, who received an Emmy nomination for her performance in season 1, Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Archie Panjabi, Christian Nethe (The Baron, Solo Album, Schule), Claire-Hope Ashitey (7 Seconds, Top Boy, Doctor Foster), and Lisa Vicari.
