fetti wapreal name Willie Jr. Maxwell II, is a rapper, singer, and songwriter from Paterson, New Jersey. Known for his signature melodic rap singing style, raspy tones, and emotionally driven street anthems, his sound blends influences from, and also includes inspiration from, southern hip-hop. In August 2022, Fetty Wap pleaded guilty to federal drug charges and was sentenced to six years in prison in New York in May 2023. he served time in FCI Sandstonea low-security federal facility in Sandstone, Minnesota, before being released on January 8, 2026.

He was born with congenital glaucoma and lost his left eye when he was 6 months old. After undergoing reconstructive surgery at the age of 12, he made the personal decision to stop wearing prosthetic eyes, choosing instead to embrace his individuality.
