It’s been 5 years now and I still can’t believe I’m in my 40s. Yes, in case some of you don’t know yet, I’m 45 years old. Now, I sometimes think about random aches and pains in my lower back and body (lol), but most of the time I don’t feel like I’m in my 40s at all. To be honest, since I turned 30, I feel like I’m about the same age. People who are 25 or older can fall into the mental turmoil of turning 45, and if they don’t have children, they tend to live by a different clock as well. As a freelancer, when you can set your own work hours and schedule, you never feel old. You’re just… an adult.

That being said, I’m fully aware that I’m aging, so overall health and wellness habits have become more important to me over the past few years. I’ve enjoyed my health years to the fullest, but it’s truly a full-time job. Staying hydrated, eating as healthily as possible, going to the gym and moving more are my daily goals, and that doesn’t even start with my skincare routine. I’m not totally against growing older (I actually embrace it), but I want to age as gracefully as possible. I also added some supplements. I always take a multivitamin, but I also add in other supplements like omega 3, zinc, etc. if needed.

I regularly add biotin and collagen for hair, skin and nail support. black girl vitamins recently sent me their email Collagen “ageless” gummies try out. I’ve never used their products before, but I’ve always heard great things about them. Their gummies are keto-friendly, soy-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, and contain no GMOs or fillers. These gummies are designed to slow the signs of aging, reduce wrinkles and erase fine lines, enjoy fuller hair and stronger nails, and relieve stiffness and pain in your joints.

I’ve only been taking it for about 3 weeks so it’s too early to write a review, but I’m looking forward to seeing if there is a difference. I plan on taking it for the next 2 months (3 months total) and am hoping to see some visible improvement. They also provided the code to share with the community, so if you’re ever interested in trying out their product, Click this link and use kpfusion Get 20% off your purchase at checkout. I’d love to know what you’ve tried/what your experience has been like!

Obviously, there are many other things I need to do to take care of my health (mental and nervous system regulation should also be part of the equation), but interestingly these areas are the easiest for me to deal with. I don’t feel much stress in my life. Things have been much calmer since I tightened some boundaries around the level of access people have to me. Now, if you can stop staying up late and stick to your bedtime…

What is part of your health routine?

Let’s do a spring reset
