EARTH DAY: Why Thrifting Your Child’s Clothes Can Put More Money in Your Pocket This Season

If you have small children at home, you will see them growing up every week. It feels like Ava can’t wear anything anymore. Shopping at thrift stores can help you save money and get new clothes for your kids on the cheap.

Here are some reasons why buying your kids’ clothes from thrift stores is the best option:

Savings are cost-effective

A big benefit is that it’s budget-friendly. You can usually find clothes for a fraction of the price. If you’re on a very tight budget or want to save more money, shopping at thrift stores is your best choice. Set your budget and GO!

Saving money helps the environment

Another big benefit of buying your child’s clothes from a 3rd party store is that it’s very environmentally friendly. When you shop at thrift stores, you reduce your carbon footprint because you’re buying “second-hand” items. Often, these clothes end up in landfills.

Find unique pieces

I found some really cute items that were perfect for Ava. Moms have been asking me where I got them haha. It’s fun to go thrift shopping because you never know what you’re going to find in the stores. I always find a lot of stuff with tags still on!

Plus, some stores will let you sell your baby’s old clothes to get some money to buy new ones, so it’s good to keep that in mind before you go.
