Olympic Gold Medalist Gabby Thomas Filling in for Jimmy Kimmel, RuPaul sat down with him to talk about running in style, being inspired by Florence Griffith Joyner, winning three gold medals in Paris, life in Austin, his mother encouraging him to take up track and field, his advice for young athletes, his interest in health care, and more.
She said, “Mom, thank you so much for letting me do track and field. Thank you. You knew what you were going to do,” Thomas said. “I originally chose softball because I wanted to do it with my friends. Track and field wasn’t my first love, soccer was.”
The 27-year-old beauty attended Harvard University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in neurobiology and global health while also competing in track and field.
Thomas has enrolled in a master’s program at the University of Texas, graduating with a public health degree in May 2023 with a capstone project in sleep epidemiology.
For the show, Gabby chose a grey soft leather mini dress and sandals. My daughter calls it bust down but she wore it lol. It was simply a center part with straight flat iron hair and I am wearing it today too lol. She was super cute and her style was perfect for late night chats on TV.
