After many, many expectations, ikea memphis The renewal has finally been completed! Last week they celebrated their grand opening and it was such a fun event! We partnered with ikea memphis In the past (she helped me design my home office), I would visit multiple times a month before the updates started. So I was very happy to be invited to the event and spread the word.
my friend carmeon hamilton They did a ribbon cutting (she really is that girl) and the way people lined up before the festival started showed how excited people were to be able to shop at the store again. Ta. There was also a ribbon cutting, gift card giveaways, and live art painting. joseph boyda performance by the Arlington High School orchestra, children’s face painting, a photo booth, a performance by the Trezevant High School marching band, and Tonya Dyson I DJed. It was literally a party!
So the redesign makes the store flow feel more intentional, making navigation and shopping easier. We still have the same amount of products (honestly, it feels like we have more). I love the fact that the kids area has been redesigned with little ones in mind, with tables, chairs, and other furniture placed throughout the store. Viewed by area and level, parents can really see how certain things will fit into their home space. The dining room has also been updated to include a Swedish restaurant with over 100 seats and a Swedish food market. It really feels like a new store!
As this is the only IKEA in Tennessee, we have updated our showroom and IKEA Market Hall as well as now offering more services (Click and Collect, Kitchen Measurement and Installation, TaskRabbit). It also features a brand new central planning hub. Here, IKEA experts are on hand to help customers plan and order home furniture solutions for the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It’s also super easy to order online and pick up in store, so even if you’re traveling from another city or region, you can get what you need right away.
I’ve already been back twice since the grand reopening last week, so suffice it to say I’m glad it’s open lol. Learn more ikea memphislocal events and services offered; click here.
